Yeah, confirmed fisheye lens. But must be one of those with >180' angle of view.
Just set the camera with that lens pointed at the ground, and raise it enough so it captures as much of the horizon and subjects as you like.

That picture set is very nice.

Here's the main collection:
http://flickr.com/groups/360degrees/pool/

I think those fellas also digitally stitch together the photos for a large angle of coverage.

to answer your questions

1. i havent heard or seen this converter yet. but what's the point in getting a holga and use a 35mm film anyway...

2. 120mm films are indeed harder to come by. a year ago, you can still find it in bigger shops but i am suprised that i can no longer find it there anyway. now, you would probably need to go to professional labs. the cheapest 120 is the kodak pro 160 (iso 160) and i used to get it in selangor photographer for rm 6.50 each... they quit carrying them anymore. other shops sell it for rm 8 at least

3. scanning should be the same. some shops will try to con you telling you it's different and stuffs like that. but most of the newer machines can scan the 120mm film format without difficulty

hope it helps

why don't you post up some of your photo? are you active in lomographyasia? i heard that LCA+ got a lot of minor problem... my advice is to get refurbished LCA from Lomography international shop.. it is only USD200 and free shipping.. it is like brand new and won't have so much problem..

If add RM 10 to get it send to your doorstep and in short time, then it's worth for buying thru online.
