i need some  icon_question.gif

thinking of getting new lomo cam. but cannot decide which one.  sweat.gif
my option is between holga 120 series and diana+.
anybody have any experiences on this camera before?  already read about holga, and its so tempting, but i like the looks of diana. if i'm not wrong, both have almost the same effect n function right. (correct me if i'm wrong).
this is very though decision, hope can get them both..huhuhu.
*
yeah ... both are very similar, oso using 120mm film.
diana has more addons ... u can consider to go for that while holga is cheaper.

Hey guys, this is my first roll, and these 3 are the ones that can be seen clearly in the whole roll, there are still 7 more pics that the guy in the shop scanned into the disc for me but these 3 the best. Lol!
Anyone knows why it came out like this?

I'm still new to Lomo. And I'm looking for expired films, anyone selling?
Your advices and tips would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!  notworthy.gif

r u using iso100?
i see 2 of the pics were shot indoor, not enuf light.
for indoor, try using iso400 and above since fisheye doesnt have built-in light meter to control the aperture and shutter speed.

My first roll was ISO 160 I think, I'm on my 2nd roll now and it's ISO 200.
Ohhhh! So it's cause of the ISO lah.. Hehe now I know, thanks alot mate!
*
iso 200 is not sufficient for indoor, i once owned a fisheye and shot with iso 200 in indoor and most of the pics were in black too

I'm planning to get a lomo camera. I'm a newbie in lomo so what do you guys recommend me to buy? FishEye2, Diana, LCA, Holga or others? What are the price range?

I went to Pyramid yesterday and I couldn't find FOLIO. Where is it located? Where else can I buy the camera?

Thank you in advance! biggrin.gif
*
folio no longer carries lomo product, like anderson said, check out mooks instead.

QUOTE(jasmine_09 @ Feb 7 2010, 11:35 PM)
can you explain what are the differences between a lomo camera and DSLR?

What's so special about lomo?
*
i suggest you check out the pictures and compare them rather than we explain in words.
as always said, picture worth a thousand words.
the most basic difference is one is film another is digital.
btw, lomo is very simple camera and cannot compare with the functionality of a dslr

You might get a slight under exposed if you shoot near windows or door with sunlight in. But alone with lamp light might underexposed. So far my 1st roll was like that. Luckily i tried it using 24exposed films, less than 10 with proper lighting. Others just underexposed till cannot see a thing  sweat.gif

mayb can try to ask the shop to push a few step when u develop the pic.

Alrite, but it seems nt every shop provides cross process service.
*
actually every shop oso can do cross process, becos every shop can process negative. so it's pretty much depends on their willingness.
at times, some dumb ass will try to cheat your money by charging you a higher rate for cross process by telling you that will destroy their chemicals and so on which is all a bullshit.

on the other hand, not all shop can process E-6.

the price that you saw from the official website is usually higher than retail.
even in lyp, i dont see many shops selling.
if u ever visit lyp, try check out sri computer.

many others are oso using this model to scan films. smile.gif

Btw, the films that are stored in the fridge won't it be wet cause of the water moisture?

when films are taken out from fridge, let it stay at room temperature about a day before you use it.

Hi all lomos.
I am noob at this.

I want to ask,

1-Whats the different between those 120mm,35mm,medium format, large format?
2-Is the TLR considered lomo?

I am so eager to purchase either BBF,Holga 120,YAshica MAT 120,even the LCA+ , but i know nothing about what i am gonna purchase. biggrin.gif

Can anyone explain to me?
Thank you.
*
1. the size/dimension of the film is different as mentioned there, 120mm, 35mm etc. the most commonly used is 35mm followed by 120mm. large format is rare.

2. it depends on how u regard lomo and what lomo is to u. lomo to me is an attitude, is a style ... etc. so if u ask me if tlr is lomo, i dont know. all in all, it depends on what lomo is to u. smile.gif

yashica mat should be priced around RM6xx, BBF is RM4xx, while the legendary LCA+ is RM9xx. since you are a newbie in lomo, if you have the budget, just invest urself a lca+ and u wont regret of that, otherwise, look for uws, holga 135bc or diana mini.

try with 35mm format camera b4 getting urself a 120mm camera. not only the films are easier to source around, the cost is also cheaper.
