QUOTE(d8kd @ May 25 2009, 01:49 AM) digital cam and photoshop die hard will insist they can do everything with photoshop, but i dont agree, cos i felt tat the outcome of films especially the feeling to it can't be replicated in photoshop. You mean That special feeling of your hard earned money going down the drain? I vaguely remember it every time I get my roll of film back from the shop. not really worrying of the sales, digital has die hard fans and so is film lomo p/s - Just kidding. I'm no Photochop digital die hard. Just learned to use a little bit of Gimp the last month or so. Use to process a little Kodak HIE, Tmax etc. Bought chemicals, distilled water to mix chemicals, graduated cylinders, thermometers etc. No printing though. Went cold turkey and got rehabilitated. |

QUOTE(d8kd @ May 26 2009, 10:51 AM) it's kinda true ... films arent cheap. but everytime i'll try to source for cheap films Aiyah!! I'm no pro la. But have developed film a couple of times. When I finally get to see the negatives, wow cool, but sometimes a lot of my shots turned out to be crap. More money down the drain. If want to do serious printing, wow ... like a black hole sucking more money. So I'm a happy digital camper. Can take as many shots as I want and can PP as many times as I want for free, that is unless my SD card go kaput. Then cry must learn from pro like u how to develop films, it must be more fun than just sending films to labs. |

By using this camera, at times, you'll have a hard time finding the films from average shops out there and it can take only 12 or 16 pics in a roll. I think developing fee is higher too. But, with a little modification, you can also take 35mm with Holga, even with the sprocket holes. and yes, if you want greenish and yellowish pics, you can't go wrong with kodak ebx. like philipcs said, velvia will tends to lean towards reddish most of the time but it may hav some surprises under different lightning. by looking at the pic below, you can't see the usual reddish produce by velvia, but indeed it was taken with fuji velvia 100 ![]() agfa precisa ct100, one of my fav slide, x-pro will give a saturated blue as usual. ![]() and do not under estimate the power of negative films, it produces beautiful natural colors fuji superia100 ![]() my fav negative, ferrania solaris 100 ![]() "maybe because i use greenish plastic slides which i found it in my grandfather's house could be wrong slide lol" i'm not sure if we are referring to the same slides, but the slides we mentioned here is a type of film. are you referring to some kind of filters instead? |

Added on June 17, 2009, 9:42 pmoh by the way ... to addon, i'm not sure if using color filters will turn a pic into yellowish or greenish anot. as far as i know, those filters are use when shooting in black and white. but do check out the lomo Colorsplash Flash or Colorsplash Camera, they should give what you expect. Sample Pics of Colorsplash Camera Sample Pics of Colorsplash Flash basically, the two do the same thing by flashing colorful flash. This post has been edited by d8kd: Jun 17 2009, 09:42 PM |
