QUOTE(Jason @ Jun 30 2016, 09:55 AM) Done. Just wondering if it's the right move. One of the things I wanted to do the with the Mi5 was using the IR blaster for my TV, sound bar, air con... P9 no IR blaster. don be too exaggerate But man the photos just blew my mind. I thought it was taken with dSLR! but really can see if zoom in... the details of highlight and also layer of objects... the photo output from a smaller sensor are flatter.. if you know what it means... but with Leica tuning the photos looks good... photo from S7 or S7e also not bad.. very saturated colors... and sharp... although you can see the artificial sharpening when you zoom in... but if you look like that it is good... QUOTE(Oldskolboyz @ Jun 30 2016, 09:01 PM) Are sure or you just agak2 only... coz my Mi5 1st 4G postpaid celcom & 2nd 3G maxis prepaid... for info Mi5 above sim capable 4G but for internet data only allowed to choose one either sim 1 or 2... All phones like that.... I don have mi5 with me but I use dual sim phone quite long already ... Easy method is check on your mobile networks tab... Below is my Samsung J5 screen shot...try to see yours... Or You can try to call with the sim u use for data is it connect the call more quicker than the non data sim? Cos 2G network connection is slower... If it is true that it can support dual sim in 3G connection at the same time, it might be the 1st I think... QUOTE(Oldskolboyz @ Jun 30 2016, 09:54 PM) You own now so make a test.. my set will be like this.. if I choose sim1 as a data, Lte only available at sim1.. If choose sim 2 Lte only available at sim2.. how to check , 1st choose internet either sim 1 or 2 than check your prefer network (Lte,3G&2G).. if choose sim2, prefer network not appear at sim1.. See mobile network in settings easy... or do make calls the data sim will surely connect faster cos the normal active sim only in 2G... ppl wan to follow documents let them argue lo... I use dual sim phones more than 4 years... I remember clearly cos that is when I dump the Garbage S3 after 4 months only... |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 30 2016, 11:17 PM) not me want 2 slot LTE, but others All same same... No such thing as China phone different... for me 1 LTE slot / phone is enough currently using slot 1 sim only The hot swap things is just pop up about 2 yrs time... Last time u need to manually swap sim... Now the software or firmware will do it for you... Means you only have a set of antenna that support full 4G/3G/2G, which the other is only 2G... Even HTC, Samsung and others same... Actually the old times is the firmware doesn't support... If not mistaken Google make this on KitKat v4.4 or Lollipop by default already which able to support 2 sim management... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jun 30 2016, 11:50 PM |

QUOTE(WahBiang @ Jun 30 2016, 11:46 PM) Bro try restart again... It should be better sometimes... What you expect from a second class SD820 phone... We talked about this before that binning of chipset... Some more MIUI it's own is a bit heavier than others, comparable if not worst than ToichWiz... So maybe you can try to off the Animation after you enable your developer tab... |

QUOTE(WahBiang @ Jul 1 2016, 07:28 AM) When one asked how to improve the hp for idea he suggested, he will simply say, go learn laa.. answer like that, a noobie also how noe how to gv laa.. Sorry thought you are advance user since you comment much on the MIUI and others UI...One that cant see is,1.7gb ram left in new hp vs1.2-1.5gb ram left in old hp, shouldnt the new hp still better? Somehow, old hp win in certain part and new hp in certain parts.. In settings you go find Developer Options.... If you don't have it... Go into the About Phone tab... Then tap Build Versions 7 times you will have the Developer Options available... Scroll down until you find the animations... Attached is 2 screen shots for your reference... If the UI have a lot of animation on it might slow down... To cut those transition time... Just disable all animation... You can feel it is much faster... Btw I always off what ever phone I use... QUOTE(our_team89 @ Jul 1 2016, 09:24 AM) i'm kind of person who use the phone until 3 years i feel for you on that... haha... but Sony is a nice phone with good quality which can last... i find the affordable phone that can be used without lag for more than 2 years my last phone before this is sony xperia ZL btw, i was damn butthurt when xiaomi malaysia announce they will sell redmi note 3 2 days after i placed order for mi5 My wife Sony SP only got replaced last year... haha... Hopefully your MIUI system will not grow the opposite way, while others trying to make their UI more lean... currently MIUI dump too many things into the UI to make it a lil bloated... QUOTE(our_team89 @ Jul 1 2016, 10:21 AM) i've got high hope on them to improve their UI since they are growing company Ya... If only they were cheaper... Their UI is quite good... but if later become much worse, i'll just flash custom rom last time i used HTC incredible S (2 years before changing to ZL), that time is sense is not really good..but look at them now, their UI is the best after stock UI if only HTC sells their phone cheaper After that I would give Sony the thumbs up... To be frank I feel MIUI and Touch Wiz is some years away to make their system more lean... Cos both of them go their own market and also user profile... Which makes me lazy to change my company phone theme, cos I prefer dark theme... Flashing rom? Haha... I lazy dy... Root and flashed a few phones... But now I have the Nexus, that's why I don care... I always have the latest... Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't follow Samsung footstep... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 1 2016, 10:26 AM |

QUOTE(LalaluSan @ Jul 1 2016, 10:33 AM) Its heading there, price wise that is... haha... well you know the strategy... i'm interested to see this two company how long it can last... I still rmber galaxy ace was way much cheaper. Guess they just use ace to penetrate mobile market, then starts increase their price on their flagship as it goes. (Judging at mi3 to mi5) with Samsung Marketing Spending and MIUI Hype Building strategy... of course Samsung still have build quality, but Mi..... eerrrr not so... my Mi3 comes with a defect on the body and i see a few others device also same... so i live with it coz only RM750 nia... don complaint la... |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Jul 2 2016, 02:09 AM) I want a cheaper price, but reluctant to move from a nexus phone to a MIUI interface... Price is an issue here lol You move from Nexus... I presume you have 3G ram Nexus now... You will find that Mi5 3G ram is hardly enough for it... Look at some video online for speed test... It can't keep background process much... Poorest of all SD820 device... Nexus device with 3G ram can be on par or better than it.... You will gain some functions that you don get on stock Android... But in terms system management user experience Vanilla is better... Btw I just bought N6P months ago... I used Mi3, HTC 820s, Lumia 535, Moto G 2nd Gen, Samsung J5 this recent 2 yrs... Nothing's beats Vanilla experience... Of course you will missed the updates too... XiaoMi for me they doesn't stick to their promises... U can't say like that... they are so great until they focus on MIUI version but doesn't care much about Security update and Major version update... But the fans doesn't care about that... Do you realise that?
But different ppl different priority lo... To be frank some of their UI function is quite useful but the ROM is very heavy... |

OMG so many problem?
I thought I'm the one saying their quality no good... Even cosmetic finishing also lower quality... My Mi3 some with defect... they bottom of the phone got dents mark at the corner... I found out that my frens unit also have it...And the SIM card slot and tray also defective, u cant put your sim with adaptor it will be stuck can't be removed... Luckily I sacrifice my tray I know some one know how to mill off the try cover so I can access the 2 screw which hold the frame with screen... Then I go back to SC in LY, they help me to slowly prey open without damaging the sim slot... QUOTE(Leon be here now @ Jul 4 2016, 08:30 PM) As we heard they are pushing it out around July or Aug.... SG will be July... U can buy there if you don mind... But as we read, the pre-order is all sold out within few minutes... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 4 2016, 08:57 PM |

QUOTE(MOD404 @ Jul 6 2016, 12:55 AM) Indeed You are wrong... Reports that Mi Max and Mi5 China rom, not developer, is more stable than Global... Of course they will focus on China, who will abandon the largest market in the whole world for a tiny sale volume... China alone XiaoMi is selling Tenth of Millions of Hand phone and others product vs Hundreds of Thousands in others country...Hence, I'd rather have global rom installed than having some unstable feature my phone After all, most of these new feature were not well-documented in English and can only be sought through Chinese support forum or documented feature build pipeline-as shown on Xiaomi forum Not forget, there's an ocassion where OTA are release 2 times a day in case of major failure in released patch- been there Just like when you go Thailand you see a lot of new Dairy products which is cheap in price.... Who will focus on Malaysia which has only half of the population of Thailand... This post has been edited by michael9413: Jul 6 2016, 05:34 AM |
