QUOTE(horns @ Nov 6 2017, 11:33 PM) yes i have only one 10016 error, no 10010. I've 69, 10010, & 10016. I'm not sure, but feeling weird. no, i didn't do anything to fix it. i do have tons of other 'errors'. however they don't affect my usage. are they affecting your user experience? I'm playing Dota 2 always froze twice for 1-2 seconds. This post has been edited by g104: Nov 6 2017, 11:42 PM |

horns Yeah, two separated updates. Pretty weird
By the way, I didn't receive the KB4048955 & I'd manually install it. |

horns Finally, I'm able to merge the 500 MB recovery partition by using the latest AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro Edition 6.6.
BSOD happened once after 1st reboot, but after reboot few times & everything is good to go. I also ran the error checking & found some errors. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hence, I ran sfc /scannow also have corrupt files, then I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth & lastly sfc /scannow to make sure no more corrupt files. After done, we must restart the PC & let the DOS running itself to merge the unallocated disk space. (Reboot couple of times) 1) Run sfc /scannow (If have corrupt files then do following step 2) 2) Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (No need reboot) 3) Re-run sfc /sannow & then reboot the PC Regarding the INTEL-SA-00086, my H97 consumer products is not included & I ran "Intel-SA-00086-GUI" under DiscoveryTool.GUI folder. This system is not vulnerable. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Intel® Management Engine v9.1.37.1002, SVN: 1 |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 29 2017, 05:38 PM) I see, but I thought is a must to reinstall the os if change motherboard eventhough using same socket Previously, I'm using i5-4460 too. because if I am not mistaken when boot up windows might detect hardware changes then can't get activated right ? as Microsoft register our hardware ID based on our hardware, small changes like ram, hdd/ssd, graphic card doesn't make differences lol how you know I change from 4460 to 4790? |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 29 2017, 06:57 PM) but I do format after I switch to 4790 and new mobo I'm lazy to format. I'd format when the next big update from Microsoft or I faced an issue. right now I am asking for my friend as he only changing processor I'm looking for a Samsung SSD (min. 256 GB), then I'll upgrade it. Now, I'm testing the side effects after I merged the recovery partition. (Learning) 4C/8T really is the minimum entry for the gaming. |

nuvi I strongly suggest you should try to use (Alt + F4) on the desktop to shut down your laptop or remove your battery.
I personally hate hibernation, especially laptop users should avoid using it in the first place. |
