yes i have only one 10016 error, no 10010.

no, i didn't do anything to fix it. i do have tons of other 'errors'. however they don't affect my usage.

are they affecting your user experience?

I've 69, 10010, & 10016. I'm not sure, but feeling weird.

I'm playing Dota 2 always froze twice for 1-2 seconds.

not really sure if these two are related. yes i do experience very short freezes sometimes while i play games. (like half a second; very rare but it will happen. i just don't bother to look it up yet)

horns Yeah, two separated updates. Pretty weird hmm.gif

By the way, I didn't receive the KB4048955 & I'd manually install it.

horns Finally, I'm able to merge the 500 MB recovery partition by using the latest AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro Edition 6.6.

BSOD happened once after 1st reboot, but after reboot few times & everything is good to go.

I also ran the error checking & found some errors.

Hence, I ran sfc /scannow also have corrupt files, then I ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth & lastly sfc /scannow to make sure no more corrupt files.

After done, we must restart the PC & let the DOS running itself to merge the unallocated disk space. (Reboot couple of times)

1) Run sfc /scannow (If have corrupt files then do following step 2)

2) Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (No need reboot)

3) Re-run sfc /sannow & then reboot the PC

Regarding the INTEL-SA-00086, my H97 consumer products is not included & I ran "Intel-SA-00086-GUI" under DiscoveryTool.GUI folder.

This system is not vulnerable.

I see, but I thought is a must to reinstall the os if change motherboard eventhough using same socket hmm.gif
because if I am not mistaken when boot up windows might detect hardware changes then can't get activated right ?
as Microsoft register our hardware ID based on our hardware, small changes like ram, hdd/ssd, graphic card doesn't make differences hmm.gif
lol how you know I change from 4460 to 4790?

Previously, I'm using i5-4460 too. brows.gif

right now I am asking for my friend as he only changing processor laugh.gif

I'm lazy to format. I'd format when the next big update from Microsoft or I faced an issue.

I'm looking for a Samsung SSD (min. 256 GB), then I'll upgrade it. Now, I'm testing the side effects after I merged the recovery partition. (Learning)

4C/8T really is the minimum entry for the gaming.

Dota 2? Processor quite important for high refresh rate, especially the base clock. As for graphic card, core clock is important for MOBA games.

Virtual desktop TaskView switching with CTRL+Win+Left/Right cause crazy flickering on transition instead of smooth sliding animation.

Bug?

Most likely & why not go for 17046?

First, use the error checking on all your drives.

sfc /scannow

Restore your recovery.

nuvi I strongly suggest you should try to use (Alt + F4) on the desktop to shut down your laptop or remove your battery.

I personally hate hibernation, especially laptop users should avoid using it in the first place.
