Any idea how to stop Xiaomi own browser advertisements that keep on popup? Note that this is not the normal advertisements that you see on websites.

This is my first Xiaomi and I just hate the apps that come with it. Heck, even the battery management software comes with a lot of built-in advertisements and to top it off, it is just a free version of a paid apps, which means it will reminding you to buy a full version. WTF is Xiaomi doing?

Does anyone know how to set the PIN so it could take more than 4 digits? I find this limitation is very annoying as other brands doesn't have this sort of stupid limitation. And I don't feel like to use password as a workaround as it will pop the keyboard up instead of the normal keypad when unlocking the phone.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Mar 4 2016, 03:29 PM) There are 4 version of Official ROM. I see. How do I get the China stable? And how do I sideload the google services? Thank you in advance.- China Stable - China Developer - Global Stable (Not available yet) - Global Developer (Not available yet) Global Stable/Developer come with PlayStore/Google Services but the Redmi 3 is not yet launch on Globally. So it won't be able to have it until they launch it. China Stable/Developer are official ROM for China market, problem is it doesn't default come with PlayStore/Google Services. |

QUOTE(uan @ Mar 5 2016, 02:34 PM) Flash using the miflash tool. I see. So its not like normal Xiaomi ROM that we could select in the upgrade apps menu? Also, i want to report that this rom (and other miui 7 too i believe) suffer from wifi sleep bug, which make gcm not working properly, and causing delayed notification for whatsapp, telegram and other app that use gcm. Hope this can be fixed soon. Btw, what is "gcm" anyway? Thanks. |

QUOTE(Eugene91 @ Mar 8 2016, 09:57 PM) Managed to flash the ROM finally. Just install MiFlash as it is and I uninstalled the Qualcomm Driver that came seperately in the zip file. How did you actually do this: "and I uninstalled the Qualcomm Driver that came seperately in the zip file."I'm using MIUI V7.1.3.0.LHPCNCK with ROOT&Xposed (LB) for MiFlash http://en.miui.com/thread-236545-1-1.html Very light and say goodbye to those rubbish ads and bloatwares. The only thing is that these kind of custom ROMs do not support OTA which means you have to manually download and flash these updates. Thank you in advance. |

QUOTE(Eugene91 @ Mar 8 2016, 10:26 PM) When you use this guide: http://en.miui.com/thread-218644-1-1.html Installed MiFlash and adb driver etc. Run the flash under download mode but the error came out.I just install MiFlash by itself on Windows 10 (booted it with driver signature verification disabled). I did not install the Qualcomm Driver that came in the zip file. (Earlier I installed and it seems I have error when I tried to flash) |
