hi guys, currently I watch Netflix US via Hola vpn, obviously using my Mac (mirroring to my TV).
Somehow I miss the 4K quality which is possible if I watch directly thru my 4K tv.
Is there a way for me to do that, I mean watching US Netflix from my 4K tv?
Do I need to set vpn in the router?
thanks

Just configure tvunblock dns on your router and you're good to go.
Also, set qos priority to max for your 4k tv

today surprisingly everything goes normal. can stream 2160p on Netflix smoothly without interruption. hopefully this will last despite the undersea cable problem.

How's streaming speed so far? Easy to buffer up to HD quality?
I notice these dns/vpn are a bit slower on streamyx compared to unifi

Is getflix still working? Don't see netflix listed anymore in their channel and they've got a lifetime promotion now

Getflix has almost always had a lifetime promo. They support Netflix but since the crack down, it's been difficult. Plus, can't advertise that they offer workarounds for Netflix on their site anymore. It's been awhile.
*
I see, so they're still offering it just not advertising on their site anymore

Easy to get HD quality with US dns? Especially if you're on unifi

Bumping this thead again
Anyone got a working dns service for US netflix?
Saw this ad recently and apparently it's wifi modem with their own proprietary tech that allows for streaming
Also it has a promotion till this 14th

Congrats on replying to a 17 month old post..  tongue.gif

Anyway, some aren't comfortable with piracy and what not.. Netlfix is a strong, legal alternative and its super easy to use (sure 1080p/4K/HDR + DD5.1, especially via the Smart TV app... Despite my "skills", I still remain a subscriber over the years. Don't intend to terminate my account anytime soon.

Bro, you're viewing 4k netflix content? What's the average speed it's usually streaming?
Thinking of getting 4k tv, saw that TCL 55' 4k that comes with built in Roku interface
Then there's also Amazon's own 4k tv with fire tv os baked in

Talking about Netflix, I'm thinking of committing 1 year worth of subscription.

Pity Netflix Malaysia officially don't allow me to prepaid up to 1 year while allowing me to save some moolah.

I do need the Premium package as got a 4k TV at home.

But RM51 per month feels so damn steep.

I saw soem Ebay sellers selling like a code for 1 year worth of subscription, I wonder how trustable are them
*
Buy the premium account using canadian dollars, 11.99 cad ~ rm40
Or mexican peso, apparently they're the cheapest country for netflix account

Good for you bro. Also i tend to avoid using vpn as I'm doing my part to make Netflix notice its presence and users in malaysia's market. And hoping more content to be add officially.  Just my personal preference.

Which vpn still work with netflix now?
I tried getflix on digi infinity and can get full hd with us Amazon prime, but on us Netflix it's hovering at sd quality
Still continue testing

Hi guys... I'm currently running Netflix off my LG blu-ray player that allows me to play Netflix movies in HD. I have a China blu-ray player that reliably plays ahem blu-ray discs. Currently living in a rented condo.

Bought a new house, have to cancel Unifi & Netflix for 3 months while I shift to a room somewhere to wait for renovations to complete. After that I will resubscribe.

When I move in, I want to get an android box so that I can retire the LG blu-ray player and run Kodi & Netflix from the same device. I want one that allows me to add a hard drive so that I can dump all my MP3s and whatnot (media ctr).

Bottom line, I plan to attach the android box, China blu-ray player and PS4 to my Pioneer AV receiver. Less clutter.

Question:

1) Which android box can I get in order to get Netflix in HD and also install a hard drive..?

2) Since I'm resubscribing to everything all over again, how do I get overseas Netflix content? Is it even possible?
*
1) Nvidia shield home server, so far this is the only android box certified hd 4k netflix with hdd, and it's a bit expensive
Sure you can't just put the hdd inside external case?
Either get xiaomi mibox (international version) or amazon firetv and you're already saving +1k there.

2) User dns-trick (us region only)

Usually if it's Netflix original series/movies, it will be available here same day as US
as Netflix themselves own the copyrights, they can bloody broadcast in any country they want
*
Still depends on licensing broadcast or whatever's it called
House of cards s3 wasn't streamed on the same official launched date back then. But apparently hypptv had it

Yes.. brows.gif.. Finished the defenders yesterday.. Not mind blowing but I love that they stepped up the fight scenes.. IMO, better fluidity and choreography.. Fighting that makes some sense.. And if any thinks it's bad, please watch any episode of Arrow. That'll show you bad. tongue.gif

Does everything have to be centered in NY lol?
I was expecting Danny to have iron fist both his hands & wear the mask like s1 Daredevil cause that's probably the closest iron fist look we're gonna get. Probably on season 2 though

For arrow, post season 2 was just horrible, it turned into Felicity & Arrow show. They finally stepped it up in season 5 and got rid all the things that made it unwatchable & better fight scenes

Hi,

Does Anyone here use NordVpn?

Can pm me or share here your experience with this VPN?

Thanks
*
I've only tried expressvpn

My Hulu/Netflix streams to hd a lot faster on vpn than dns which was surprising. Using it on digi infinity btw

Cant say for nord, but im using getflix smart dns, Stream 4k easily on my tv, getting around 40mb on fast.com and im on time internet 100mbps
*
Wah nice, really great speed on fiber
I consider lucky just to get 20% of that 40mb speed
So getflix reallly works now on android tv box and android tv?
Last time I tried, I always get 'proxy error' on my fire tv stick and getflix response was their dns only for browsers only

Which ExpressVPN server are you connecting to? Able to stream 4K?
*
Don't have 4k tv so only max 1080p
La1 or La3 server
If you're on unifi then using their dns is enough to get 4k
