QUOTE(greyshadow @ Jul 24 2017, 03:54 PM) My sailing days as pirate also is over You are still not fully legit yet. The fact that you are using getflix to watch overseas contents you are not entitled to, you are still a pirate came on dry land watching everything thru the box "legitly" Amazon firestick + lifetime getflix account + Netflix + Amazon Prime + Crunchyroll + HBO + any other free VoD apps it pretty much fixed any hunger I had Btw, Getflix usually works on browser, but not on apps, but sometimes you can get lucky, apps may works for a few days to few weeks, then the waiting game again. Me, I am sailing the black seas, unless I strike 1st price in the lottery. |

Fast.com no longer reliable. It will be as fast as speedtest, but when really streaming Netflix, it will slow according to congestion at certain times.

QUOTE(rx330 @ Apr 24 2018, 02:49 PM) Using the Netflix app from the TV itself ? Check your Netflix account settings, see it is set to play at Max resolution. Also if you have a standard Samsung remote control, try pressing the info button. This post has been edited by Ngto: Apr 24 2018, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Apr 24 2018, 05:51 PM) You can buy the standard compatible remote for less than 50/- ( but make sure your model is stated in the list of supported models). But first try to borrow one. While playing Netflix video, press the info button on the remote. It will show the details, speed, resolution etc. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Apr 25 2018, 04:09 PM) rx, If I knew this before, would have saved me 39/- on the standard remote. Anyway it will come in handy soon, because my smart Remote's right direction key is already halfway dead, after less than a year. I hope the TV won't give way so soon like the remote. To see the stream speed that u r getting when using Netflix do the following in the small remote. Simply press "123" button in the remote, a menu with numbers will pop up. Go to the left and hit the "i" option on the screen. I asked Samsung service about the price , 180/- for that little thing. QUOTE(rx330 @ May 2 2018, 12:09 PM) ok, was watching black lightning season finale, got diff for hdr n non hdr On my Samsung KS7000 I actually prefer watching on 1080p resolutio, lol.somehow this HDR looks like years back when watching on sony 120 hz motion flow dunno what, looks very artificial, like the whole show is shot on digital HD cam not really used to it, prefer those grain dark movie feel 4k n 1080p still havent seen any diff yet, let go try other movies/drama I don't know why, but watching 4k on my TV, the image look kind of soft. So I play my 4k iso movies using Media player and force it to 1080p resolution, looks much sharper with better contrast and better blacks. I don't know if something to do with the FW. QUOTE(voncrane @ Aug 17 2018, 11:38 AM) Andrew memang don't like such workarounds.. To him, iTunes is enough.. Not for folks like us.. MI 1-4 can watch on iFlix.Interesting.. Didn't know that existed.. Gonna send it out and place in some requests.. Thanks to you? I re-watched Dr. Strange last night.. Yes..can detect.. But it's more of their servers doing the blocking than the app. Fool their servers and you are good. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 17 2018, 07:38 PM) iFlix only SD quality, too bad quality already. 99% show in iFlix is SD only. Doesn't matter to me, I don't need to watch. I was just pointing out for whoever interested.☺️Actually iFlix a lot movies and choices, but too bad mostly is SD quality only. I have already collected the complete MI movies right from the very first release many many years ago from the very first movie where Jim Phelps was killed off as a bad guy. |

I think there is some interest now to watch back the earlier ones because some of the newer viewers don't know about or have forgotten about the history of Julia (Ethan's wife) - MI 3.
Also some point of interest is that MI2 which was directed by John Woo is still the top grosser domestically in US. None of the other movies in the series have managed to beat MI2 domestic gross although globally, Ghost Protocal (MI4) onwards till Rogue Nation (MI5) have done better. Fallout is still running so lets see if it will finally beat MI2 in domestic gross earnings in US. This post has been edited by Ngto: Aug 18 2018, 05:41 AM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jun 1 2019, 12:30 AM) VCD didn't really fail in terms of popularity at that time. It was very popular for pasar malam movies 😁. When it was out the only available practical storage medium was CD. Quality of course wasn't good due to the low capacity of CD (650mb) . Must use 2 disc for one low quality movie. However it did help pave the way for DVD which appeared later which was a big improvement because of the capacity 4.7gb single layer/ 8.5 gb double layer. Then came Blu-ray of course 25gb single/50 gb double layer. |
