The camera module is good but our camera software is subpar thus affecting quality.

Hi everyone! Happy new year! I'm thinking of getting a Z5C as an upgrade from my Z1. No doubt it is an upgrade even though the screen is a bit smaller. I will finally be able to bring my phone along when I go jogging. Anyone here already rooted their Z5C?

Hi there everyone, Gong Xi Fa Cai biggrin.gif

I'm thinking to get a new phone for myself, currently I'm using Nokia Lumia 1020 because I need a real good camera phone. But the thing is Windows OS is pain in the ass as the applications development is not that good.

So, I'm jumping to Android and looking for a good camera phone. But it seems like currently Z5 has the best camera performance so far in the market for Android?

Deciding between Z5 Premium and LG V10, which is a better go?
Sorry, I'm good in PC but not in phones laugh.gif

Get the V10 if youre into quality shots and full manual control. And for me, that's the only thing that will make me get the V10 tbh. Hahaha

U need some skills to get good photos for both.. But software part, LG do have better manual control. But in video part. I guess z5 is the unbeatable beast right now.

Point and shoot , still prefer Note 5 or S6E+ and unless u the need the extra screen + better head/ear phone sound quality , LG G4 camera is as good as V10

Hey anyone had camera problem with their z5 dual ? I mean when you taking photo in low light there is always red tint in the photo.. Some say it because of the iso is auto turning to max.. I did some manual shoot on 200 iso and the tint is gone. But in low light superior mode the tint is always there.. Same does on video for low light.. Red tint everywhere. Its this hardware issue ? Or the sensory ? There people have same problem as me but not localy (some in forum i google). I been using for 2 weeks now. Has anyone got this problem ? Im doing research on this before i go to service center for myself.. I hope im not alone on this..

better you post 1 of the photo samples.. i guess it's something like what u said, for those very dark situation with minimum light source condition, Sony really may boost up ISO up to 12800 which might created the red tint like u said.. but need to post one sample for our reference.

next time you try again, reduce the brightness in Superior Auto mode and see any changes.

Not really significant from your samples. But iso 1250 during daylight seem too over.. Lol. Try and observe again.

camera quality is very not predictive, however, when it is working correctly it is delivering gorgeous shots (if you know what you're doing, that is). no raw format output, no much thing to do in manual mode tho.
heat problem... from what i read it is a common problem for smartphone sporting snapdragon 810, but sony definitely did some things to help the heating problem, very much usable most of the time without burning my hands (but then i am using a ringke case so....)

that also means the quality is not consistent and the sony algorithm hasn't matured yet
