I don't think Apple will be charging for the repair; probably just replacing it if it is indeed a hardware issue, or come up with a software to counter it, if it's a software issue. It's a new issue so they probably are working on a fix right now...

Yeah, still have a valid student ID so was able to be eligible on the Education Discount plus the USD went up/RM went down after Trump's win didn't make it easier.. so wait only lor... Well, I just checked and tracked, it says Estimated Delivery is 2 December - but delivery to where, I dunno! Keeping fingers crossed.. might even arrive in time for my birthday

Most of the USB-C cable converters are on sale at the Apple Store. Until end December. I am buying the Satechi one.
