Thank you for your reply, personally, I still prefer MacBook pro, maybe will wait for the new one. Roughly release on June?

Btw, not much ppl discuss about MacBook air? And I heard that apple planning stop produce or release new model of MacBook air? Izzit true?

Thanks
*
Apple is said to kill off the Air line. The MacBook is the clear choice in terms on looks and feasibility. You want retina display? The MacBook. You want light and easy? The Macbook. You want other colors besides the boring old silver like the billion other MBA and MBP? The MacBook is your choice. However, the only thing you're giving up. Is the performance. Core M vs Core i5.

Most would say only one USB C is a deal breaker. But I don't see it. I see it as a godsend. I have a Nexus 6P and it comes with a USB C port. I can just plug my phone straight in with a C to C cable. I don't mind carrying an adapter to expand my ports. For the weight and size reduction, I see it as a good trade off.

But anyways, back on topic. It's good but I don't like it hahaa.

most of you using casing for your rMBP? i just took mine off after 4 months using the the casing. the thing i worry is the four rubber stoppers at the bottom. will it  wear or fall off? if so, got replacement kah?
*
I'm using skin on my laptop. The rubber will only wear down eventually when you drag the laptop off the table. I avoid dragging to prevent wear on the rubber feet.

After my mac pro close down the screen , it should be on sleep mode . but why do my mouse that plug in are still on red light ?

do this normal ?
*
Yes it's. If you have external peripherals connected, the device is automatically put into clampshell mode. Which means laptop is fully awake. This mode is normally used to connect to external monitor. Unplug it and you should be fine thereafter.

Hi, today is the first time i tried to connect my external USB hard disk to the laptop. I could copy the files to the laptop but I could not transfer files to the USB hard disk. Is it normal?
*
Incorrect format for the HDD. Format the drive to ExFAT and you can copy anything you want anywhere.

Does anyone know whether they'll release a new macbook pro anytime soon? if yes i would want to hold before purchasing a macbook for now.

Logical date for new MacBook releases are September or October.

thanks for willing to update macOS sierra news with us thumbup.gif

wish if u could later check the compatibility of M.Office for mac '16 and/or google chrome with sierra.  thx again smile.gif
*
I updated it and ran it since a few hours ago. Office and Chrome works just fine. However, worth noting that I'm on Project Chromium so, it might be a little different. I'm happy with PC so I'm not changing anytime. But I'll give it a try.

EDIT. Regular chrome works.

PS. Hey Siri doesn't work yet. sad.gif Sadly

Anybody running macOS Sierra public beta already? Just installed it on my MBPR 13" 2011. So far so good. Speed is good. I think got slight slowdown but not very noticeable.

Siri is awesome.

Some apps not compatible. So far: Bartender.

Biggest con is my battery life has dropped a lot. Seems to be using almost double the battery for the same things I do.
*
I've been using MacOS Sierra since beta 1. The only issue i have is the flashing screen during boot and also sometimes i wake up the laptop ill just be greeted with a black screen. Nothing else. Need to restart it to get it to work again.

no difference at all. cpu spec up is super minor on the improvement on the performance.

the 2015 15" rMBP just has a slightly better dedicated graphic card if u buy the high end model which it is slightly better for gaming.
*
I play Rust on high settings can get 60 fps 😬

I'm happy. Just that I need a mech keyboard to game. It gets really hot to the point the metal burns and the heat transfers up to the keys.

Bearing in mind, I'm experiencing winter now so, the weather should in theory help a bit but not much

Guys is it possible to install a,umm lets just say "non-authentic" Windows 7 Pro on mbp using usb disk and boot camp? hehe
*
QUOTE(westlife @ Jul 17 2016, 04:44 PM)
2015 onward retina MacBook pro boot camp can only support windows 8 and above.

Of course if urs is older,u can instal chiong Windows 7 also.
*
You can pirate install Windows. But 10 and above only. MacOS El Capitan already mandate nothing below Windows 10.

I'm on MacOS Sierra now. Same thing. I made the boot camp on EC

No la. Min is windows 8. I had installed it many many time on different 2015 and 2016 MacBook.
*
I tried 8 before and it said something like "Bootcamp has support for Windows 10 and above."

Maybe I had a different copy of Windows 8 which wasn't compatible with BCA

My 13" laptop battery bought last May was bloated. Went to Machines SVC and the repair time mentioned is 3 weeks. How come it takes so long. It is only a battery. I look at ifixit and it was easy to remove as well. Anyone has any experience on it and how long does it usually takes?
*
They don't serve you only, your Highness. They have others too. 3 weeks is like an insurance policy. Maybe can be done in a week. Have to call them to find out.

Taking off battery is super easy and can be replaced under 10 minutes depending on your technical proficiency.

Ya, no choice. Need to wait. I bet they want to get it done asap too. Even shipping parts over they are giving themselves 10 days insurance policy even when they could get as fast as NBD. Anyway If I can get it on the 26th I will be super happy.

For the newer models, they actually replace the entire topcase as it was glued with the battery. So it comes with new keyboard, and new trackpad as well.
*
Most people just pry it off also. Since it's going to be removed and not to be used anymore.

Newer models I don't know loh haha
