Ehhh those of you playing with female shepherd ... how do you get a good-looking one?

I spent an hour tweaking the face, creation that time looks quite pretty. Go in-game, very first cutscene already I'm like "holy crap, ugly tranny man-girl ..."

Meh, mid-game+ the difficulty drops so much ... playing soldier, after I get a decent armor and decent gun, only need to spam that +shield skill and immunity ... just rush in no need to take cover or think at all ... even kena direct hit from rocket launcher also like no rasa ... shakehead.gif

Thanks PJ. Guess I'll be downloading it soon... my MS point has no where to burn especially when the Shivering Isles still cost 2400ms point to download. Stoopid... they should have give us some discount for that.

Quick question about the "xxx kills with yyy" achievements ... e.g. for "150 kills with sniper rifle" achievement, do I have to do all 150 kills in one playthrough? Or is it global 150 kills for all characters/playthroughs?

Current score: 745/1000. Still left to do:

Distinguished Combat Medal (Finish Hardcore), Medal of Valor (Finish Insanity) & Extreme Power Gamer (Level 60)
--> 125 points: Need 2 more rush playthroughs, so ~20 hours.

Shotgun Expert (150 shotgun kills), Sentinel Ally (Kaidan), Turian Ally (Garrus) & Barrier Mastery (75 Barriers)
--> 70 points: One more full playthrough, probably on easy mode with a shotgun-wielding Vanguard ... ~15 hours.

Singularity Mastery, Stasis Mastery, AI Hacking Mastery & Neural Shock Mastery
--> 60 points: Get just enough levels on an adept/engineer and then spam skill / load / repeat ... so 10-ish hours?

... argh ... another 40 hours on this game? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...

the second book just arrived. im going to spend the weekend reading it tongue.gif

here's the excerpt of the prologue:

QUOTE
The news report on the vid screen flickered with a constant steam of images captureing the death and destruction Saren's attack had wrought upon the Citadel. Bodies of geth and C-Sec officers were strewn haphazardly about the Council Chambers in the aftermath of the battle. Entire sections of the Presidum hd been reduced to scorched, twisted metal...

Hello. Sorry to "necro" this thread but there is a question I wanted to ask.

I popped in the Mass Effect 1 disc that came with the Mass Effect Trilogy box set into my Xbox 360 and I started a new game.

In the prologue, there was this part where you could open a door with Decryption and there were two scientist inside. You see, the first time I tried the decryption mini-game to open the door, I failed. From what I can gather, when someone fails the Decryption mini game in Mass Effect 1, you would need to use Omni Gel to directly bypass the lock, right?

So I destroyed a few weapons and was told that I still did not have enough Omni Gel. I gave up and just turned off the console after saving the game.

When I returned to the game, I realised that the game allowed me to do the Decryption game again!

Now, here is my question. Why was I allowed to do the Decryption mini-game again? Does this mean :

A) When I save, not all of my progress are actually saved?

or

B) It's a bug.

(I think it might have something to do with me accidentally loading a previous save, quitting and then reloaded the most current save.)

From what I heard, Mass Effect is a really large-scale and epic RPG and I want to make sure that I know how the game deals with save files. Thanks in advance.
