Just upgraded to the latest fw and no more popping or cracking noise on YouTube, HDMI arc work properly now with single volume control. Tv audio automatically muted when connected to external amp.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Mar 6 2017, 04:38 PM) I tried to upgrade via online last week with no success and somehow sharp decided to take down their server. So i called sharp support and technician onsite today to perform the upgrade, one of their SOP is to factory reset the TV after version upgrade. Overall, satisfied with the upgrade and in fact the youtube audio quality seems to be different, i believe they push up the high frequency. Perhaps you can share your experience after the upgrade. |

QUOTE(widget @ Oct 23 2017, 08:31 AM) I'm having the same problem as yours on my 65ue630x. I suggest you uninstall the YouTube update and everything should back to normal. I will also turned off the auto update. Hth.Could be the YouTube app issue because the previous version YouTube can play 60pfs. I noticed this issue maybe about 2 weeks ago, as almost all Paul Tan's and some of Bobby Ang's reviews just shows the loading ring. Haven't done a fresh installation of youtube yet. Pls share your findings once you managed to get it fix. cheers, |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 3 2017, 12:57 AM) sawadee krup! Hi1. i am still on 5.1, will not change as it is good, zero problems. 2. home screen (android), hdmi1, hdmi2, etc... each can choose av mode - std, movie, game, etc. for each av mode except dynamic fixed, u can change parameters when using that mode by pressing the tv setup button twice. e.g. at homescreen, u choose std, no change in parameters; hdmi1, u set to movie, press tv setup twice, change the contrast or sharpness. once done, for all inputs, whether u choose std or movie, u get those settings u hv already selected. 3. can't tell u, need someone who has changed from 5 to 6 to comment. last thing... the overall brightness of the tv can also be changed with eco off, eco1, eco2 in settings. I upgraded mine to v6 and happy with it. 1. HDMI ARC with unified volume control 2. Solved YouTube cracking noise 3. Slight improve in audio clarity. (default eq mode) 4. No change in PQ. (Std mode) Cheers |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 16 2017, 08:24 PM) Tq for update. Hi How long did it take? Can it do youtube 2160p 60hz smoothly now? Will find a right time to do that. I have it installed by sharp technician when the v6 released. It took couples of minutes but factory reset is part of their sop after upgrade. The 4k YouTube streaming is not smooth with unifi 30 plan and perhaps those with higher bandwidth can comment. Cheers |
