QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Jan 13 2016, 11:16 PM) Wah intra switch left right and center to escape the burning house. I got better idea. We all Sai Lang or show hand. Transfer everything into Malaysian small cap, RHB Asian Total Return Fund, RHB Emerging Bond and RHB Islamic Bond Fund. Maintain some fund in Global Titans. So we transfer everything from Ponzi 2 to CIMB Small Cap. For other investors, transfer into Eastspring Small Cap, RHB Small Cap and RHB Smart Treasure. This year end, sure ROI = 20%. Apa macam? My idea boleh pakai? already throw all Ponzi 2?

U.S. Stocks Tumble as Risk Flight Intensifies, Brent Oil Sinks
U.S. stocks tumbled, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunging more than 370 points and small caps entering a bear market, as oil’s failure to maintain a 4 percent rally rekindled a flight from risk assets. Treasuries surged amid signs that demand for the relative safety of bonds is rising. URL: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/201...s-off-oil-slump

The Aberdeen speaker for the Penang event is neutral on US. He only expects a return around 4 to 5% for 2016.

QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Jan 14 2016, 12:02 AM) Nothing special. By April, it would be the 2Q of the year. We should be in a better position to evaluate the markets then. For those practising quarterly VA and saving bullets, they should have saved enough bullets by April.

QUOTE(JAIDK23 @ Jan 14 2016, 02:35 AM) already throw all Ponzi 2? No, no. I am still holding Ponzi 2 now. No plan to switch out yet. My 2 cents view...what do we expect the fund manager of Ponzi 2 to do when there is a global rout? Sell off all the underlying stocks and buy bond funds and FD is it? It is not his fault that the fund is not doing well. Just let him do his job and wait for 2Q. Ponzi 2 is currently holding about 15.79% in cash (if I read the info correctly). Therefore there are opportunities for the fund manager to accumulate more shares at a lower price now. This post has been edited by Vanguard 2015: Jan 14 2016, 10:11 AM

No-lah. My post no. 1356 was meant as a joke to lighten the atmosphere in this forum a bit. Everyone seems to be a bit sombre because of the global rout. Like attending a funeral already. I have not lost my marbles....yet....to hold 100% in Malaysian small cap.

If I read the Morningstar Asia info correctly, the current cash holdings of the following funds are as follows:-
1. CIMB Dynamic (aka Ponzi 2) = 15.79% of net assets 2. CIMB Global Titans = 9.89% of net assets 3. Eastspring Global Leaders = 1.67% of net assets

Best to get those info from each fund's FFS from FSM This post has been edited by ohcipala: Jan 14 2016, 02:06 PM
