QUOTE(batman1172 @ May 13 2016, 01:35 PM) kind off.... Well look at the post 260. It should answer your questionaccording to http://www.xox.com.my/plans/onexox/ there is a dedicated account and a main account. different rates. mean what ? if mnp there get 28 months. after that no mention or I can't find! no mention if the data is charged per mb if not subscribing for monthly/weekly passes not sure I got the right website or not. one in english then jump to another malay version in onexox - which to be honest harder to understnd This post has been edited by zher4883: May 13 2016, 05:13 PM |

RedOne can be a hassle to MNP to as RedOne website does not have facilities to Port over online.
Some of RedOne agents do not offer MNP even though they are suppose to but manage to find an agent that is the mobile kind of agent and he made a website to offer what RedOne website does not offer. Nice chap. This is his website : http://www.myredone.com.my/mnp-registration/ Just MNP mine with him. |

Update to RedOne Data8 above:
RedOne Customer Service 1909 Line is really bad .. could not connect for over 12 hours now. The staff are friendly but I guess their line got problems. Since I was promised that RedOne will match my International Roaming and Credit Limit from my Post Paid when I MNP over .. it was with some hassle. The thing with RedOne are, increase from default credit limit of RM 50 will require deposit and same goes with International Roaming but International Roaming deposit is RM 300 !!! RedOne registration method is first to activate or MNP customers to their basic default accounts. Once the line have successfully MNP or activated, the agents will have to apply for whatever to match MNP service like credit limit and international roaming. This is when the hassle starts as RedOne can reject it and ask you to pay the deposit. I do not know if this is the method Redone use to get more customers and to screw them over deposits ?! With some arm twisting, I manage to get my international roaming ! If you are not satisfied, you have 7 days from the day the line got active to port out. This is in their TnC. |

Follows Celcom coverage but Celcom is having upgrade currently until August so there will be service disruptions but Redone FB have been updating of the locations.
Customer service is a hit and run. When they are good and you manage to call it, it will be good. But sometimes, you can't call in at all. I have experienced this. MNPs are done via an agent closes to you and everything they do is online via a table. So I do not think MNP will be an issue .. well it depends you come from a Postpaid or Prepaid. I guess Prepaid is a bit slower. Prepaid line have to be active when during the MNP process and beware that the Prepaid Telco might delay if you are close to validation expiry so you will have to top up again .. sneaky little buggers. |

The other option that I did not explore since I wanted to try Redone was to MNP to Tune Talk, buy validation 365 at RM 28 and weekly RM2 - 100MB data.. it will come close to Redone where you get RM 8 for 500MB in the Redone Data 8 plan. Weekly RM2 - 100MB data is recurring so you do not need to do it every week.
Tune talk will be cheaper for calls if calls are more than 2 minutes average but there is only 1 cent difference anyways. Tune Talk customer service has been great on phone and on Tune Talk FB / FB PM. I manage to help a friend to complete the MNP thru Tune Talk FB Messenger. I was thinking to MNP to Redone but just worry about the general experience and the 6 months contract. One more question - if I have data left at the end of the month, will it be forfeited or can it be carried-forward? This post has been edited by luotang: Jul 1 2016, 03:23 PM |

Hi guys, excellent thread by the way. Honestly I haven't read the whole 14 pages, I will do so, but in a mean time, i think i just ask here.
Im working oversea. Currently im using prepaid xpax, validity 1 or 2 years (you can choose). The problem is if i need to extend or renew, i can only do it in Malaysia, which means i have to go back to kl and extend it. Is there any telcos/plan that is better than this? My only criteria is able to receive, send sms and receive and making calls. Data only important when im in kl. Anyone can help? |

On the latest Tune Talk app, it looks like it is possible to pay for the Annual Validity but I cannot test it because I already purchase the Validity.
The new Tune Talk app, look for the floating " i ". I do not know if sending SMS for purchasing the Tune Talk annual validity works from abroad. |

Friends and I have tried doing the extension when we're in Singapore, so quite sure it works in other countries if you're able to log on Celcom's partner network over there.Im working oversea. We did it by sending EXP1 (for 1 year validity extension) or EXP2 (2 years) to 28882. |
