I know CIMB got this practice but assuming I don't have any purchase after that. Do I still need to pay as per statement amount? If so would be negative isn't it?
*
Yes, for your future purchases. My supplementary card still has RM 15 in it due to cash back from PosOnline transactions earlier. Maybe I will try to call them to transfer to my principal card instead. hmm.gif

Hi, previously I heard that some countries do not accept certain Malaysian Banks-issued credit cards due to, you know, Malaysian's reputation (correct me if wrong)...may I know what are the chances of cards being rejected? I have some upcoming SEA trips so know this might be handy... What are the most reputable cards, except amex and diner's alike.
*
I never face any issue with any of my cards. Travelling around Asia and Europe. I just make sure I will call banks every time before I travel.

oh,thats great
which maybank credit card is better right now?
For petrol and grocery
i still thinking islamic ikhwan or maybank gold 2 card.
maybank gold 2 card is good but i scare it will change like last time.
so any opinion?
*
Nothing is permanent. Use it while it's still there.
If I were you, I will get M2Cards for general purpose and it covers your petrol and groceries as well. It's more flexible.

Tried to read the first 3 posts but doesn't mention much about this.

*
Is there anyone who got it already? Not that I'm aware.
All the contributions here are tried by the cardholders themselves.

She is there when buying my things. In return, I will pay her back in cash or online transfer. I used to have hsbc visa signature supplementary card when I was in USA and she cancelled it because she want to save the annual fees. sleep.gif

Apply your own card. smile.gif
Anyway, it is a good move for her to cancel that HSBC card. I never find HSBC card is interesting at all.
There are better cards out there with no AF.

36k per annum can get more than 2 cards d.

Meaning 36/12 = 3,000 per month.

However at current economy, if you got outstanding ptptn or car loan already, quite hard to get CC with decent limit at 3K income.
*
Exactly 36k, no. Only 36001 and above can get more than two issuers' cards. This is ruling by BNM and banks strictly follow to this rule.
Cannot use no. of cards to measure, it's by issuers.

For e.g. You can apply three different cards under UOB even with just 24k per annum as they share same credit limit. However, for M2Cards and Ikhwan cards are considered as two different issuers, conventional and Islamic and they don't share same credit limit even from same bank.

Hmm, wondering how many credit cards can I apply before they deny my application?
I currently have like.... 7 already?
(paiseh my previous post deleted by moderator, should've just post here)
*
Not sure, it also depends on your income, commitment and credit scores for e g. Quantity of credit cards is not that important. I have more than 10, probably 13 now. Still surviving. smile.gif

Hi Chia,
I still yet apply the card,
On progress,
Example,
I got 10k limit,
I withdraw 6,800 , got 6.99% P.A, at BanK A

Can I Transfer all 6,800 from bank B to another bank B? If I got 0%,
Or can't? Please give advice

No, is still cheaper than PL if bank allow do that
*
Hmm. I don't think you can BT for cash advances, if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway, don't ever try cash advances. The interest may kill you...

Hi guys, earlier my post was removed so couldnt check the reply due to violation of section T-1.

Anyhow, my credit card payment was due yesterday and because i was outstation, i paid my cc a day later than the due date, im not worrying about the penalty tho it may be a bonus if they could waive it but more worrying about CTOS record. Do they have any grace period? FYI, my cc is maybank.

please advise sifu, thanks!
*
Usually banks are OK with one or two days, based on my own experience. In case, one infamous guy here trying to find fault with my words. laugh.gif
For Maybank, there was once I forgot to pay and only paid two days later, no issue. smile.gif
So far, never been charged with interest from banks or any bad payment record in CCRIS.

Cash advances are usually out from BT's scopes. smile.gif Well, feel free to correct me.
If it works such way, I think many would have performed cash advances first and BT out. sweat.gif

Cash advance usually comes with a hefty upfront fees.

Sometimes those 3% personal loan also more worth it compared to cash advance from bank ( unless if it's promo like those HSBC thingy which I don't really follow )

End of the day, I rather just BT the excess to the card and request for cashout to CASA. At least don't kena free upfront charges.
*
Yes, I will never encourage anyone to use cash advances at all. It's one way to black hole.

Hi, i got some question to ask regarding installment in Lazada.

I'm using Maybank 2 Gold card (Combined Limit 5000)

Based on article they mention it's 2500 per card.

But am i able to installment RM 3000 item from Lazada? (assume there's 5000 credit left)
*
RM 5k is for two cards, combined. It is not split equally for both cards like what you mentioned RM 2.5k for each.
You can spend all RM 5k for even one card. smile.gif

Yes, you can do installment for RM 3k provided you have sufficient CL.

Guys, is it possible to get 3rd cc after got 2nd cc (different issuer) within a month?
*
Can, banks have no restrictions but it is also up to them to approve or not. This condition applies if you are having at least RM 36001 and can have more than at least two issuers' cards.

yup, that's what i'm doing as well... hehe.
Their loss if they don't waive me. I'll just cancel and find something else!

edit: i think it's useful to share my experience on waiving cards:
1. Citibank - they waived me directly because I used it a lot. In fact they waived all my citi cards (2 of them) just after i give them a call. No sweat. My friend on the other hand had to pay annual fees.
2. UOB - they tend not to waive the ONE CARD, especially in my case - I only use it for petrol! But they later waived it when I cancel it (they call it the "retaining team").
*
In reality I'm not a diehard fan of specific cards and I always have workaround to replace these cards. So not an issue for me. biggrin.gif

My CIMB Petronas limit is shared with the CIMB CR. If I cancel the first, will I still have the same credit limit? Haven't used it in a long time and I don't even know where I've put it.

Only the MBB Ikhwan and PBB Quantum in use.
*
Yes, the CL will be for CIMB CR only.
