Any thoughts on Crown?

Being an OCD, I wash, clean, wipe down with cotton bud. I now don't really care if it is dual coil or not. What is a dual coil if it does not give me the flavour I want? I really like how crown is made. What will be your verdict on the flavour?

Well then chuck it away as a loss and move on. Toss that into the "Shoe box of shame" and order something else. I also have the Crown. Imo the prebuilt coil are better than what you could build on the RBA section. A 3.5 mm horizontal coil might top that or a horizontal clapton, but still the .5 SS is super delish that it's the only coil head I don't mind restocking.

Still, the Bellus is more forgiving in juice consumption and the flavor ain't half bad as well. Haven't bought anything else after these two

Bring your tfv4 and crown to a vape shop. Ask them to coil and wick them for you properly. Watch how they do it and ask questions if need be. I think the fee you pay the shop is cheaper than wasting juice, selling off tanks at a loss, and being frustrated in the long run.

Also if you want better flavor, consider using a dripper instead of a tank. You'll have less leaking problems for sure as a bonus.

Right. I actually have not tried on the single coil. All my build was on the double coil RBA. Maybe I should give it a try on that single coil RBA.

5mm 5 wraps......i think the smoke is like cloud, right?

I have not tried 5mm. 3.5mm was the max I went. I did it ranging from 4 wraps to 10 wraps.

Err...I do not believe I can't do what the experts are doing. What I mean is that trial and error on wraps, cotton amount, the height of coil, diameter of coil. I have adjusted all I can. I just cannot get what I want.

What I cannot leverage is to try those above with different types of coil (different brand/ gauge/ type). I can only use UD Kanthal or Nichrome both at 26G. I did not experience any leakage on my wicking on TFV4. I only get spills when I try to take off parts for refill. The glass has its own mind either it want to stick at the top or bottom. I have tried pressing and avoid glass coming out from direction that I do not want to. I am noob I guess. I just want to vape with little hussle. TFV4 almost made me give up vaping. Buying more different coil for this specific tank is just not for me now. Maybe the TFV4 has given me too much disappointment when I try it everytime in the toilet after wicking. Dripper is too much hussle too when I am in office. Boss has that one look whenever I do maintenance in pantry in the morning on my tank.

I was frustrated with the TFV4, but with Crown through youtube tutorials I watched before hand, I am able to fix stuff by my own. So far so good now for me. The only thing I need to figure out for now is the leakage when I do top refill. Even after I close the air flow hole and wick with S method, it still leaks. Maybe it is because of the gap between the chimney and the RBA, which I cannot fix.

Coil type - UD Kanthal/ Nichrome both 26G
Coil inner diameter - 2mm - 3.5mm
Wraps - 5 - 10 wraps

I have tried all the possible combination from the condition above. 1 time Twisted coil at 2.5mm diameter on Kanthal.

I have tried firing from 15w to 50w from my IPV D2.

I have tried all the types of opening either on the bottom deck or at drip tip.

I have also adjusted the coil height from the air flow hole on the deck.

I have also tried different cotton thickness.

I really think there should be a noob thread. I asked like 5 questions still goes unanswered. But whatever. Im still going to ask.

It says at front page of thread that at the end of battery usage (per charge) the voltage goes down to 2.5. And at full charge, some says it goes to 4.2 volt and some says it goes to 3.7 volt. So im quite confused here because most battery specs says 3.7v.

So based at front page chart, im firing my kbox mini at 32watts, fully charged, 0.45ohm 28g/32g fused clapton.
Its in the green range.

So my question is, unlike my friends mod which shows the battery voltage and firing voltage, how am i to know at how many voltage my battery is left with? Can i just fire at the setting i mentioned earlier from full charge till empty(indicator from mod)?

And lets not get on Amps yet. Im going baby steps from basics. Wasnt that interested before and just did coil smoke. Basic stuff. Noob here, be nice.

Just some small update on Crown. I have tried another top filling. What I did was close the airflow, open top cap, slowly taking my time to fill it up, close the top cap, open the airflow, voila, no leak.

However, I just filled up to the level just below the RBA head and also the o-ring of the chimney. Waited to see if it leaks. Nothing. I tried sucking through the air flow holes to see if there is any droplets in the chamber. Nothing.

Then I repeated the same process. This time till half full, over the RBA head. VOILA. Leaked like a MF. So the leakage should come from the air pressure through the RBA head when you close the top cap.

I have also tried the simultaneous turn the tank upside down, lock top cap and open air flow. Juice drips 2 drops through the drip tip.

Looks like bottom fill is still the win for now.

Maybe let me try that again when I have the mood for TFV4.

  Wanted to ask, my tfv4 mini current set are 0.65ohm, 400F and 25-30W and power on 4v to 4.18v. the first 10 puff giving me flawless flavors and Clouds, but after cold down period and firing back and take like few heavy puff I can taste the cotton are drying up and it start to burn. open up the cover and check the coil and cotton. It seem the middle of cotton always become black and dry up.

I have a clapton on 2.5mm with 6 wrap on a snow wolf btw.

Is it my cotton that cause it or my wicking got problem, or should I lower down the setting?

I tried loosen the cotton in the middle, still it last more longer but it doesn't last me for like a day. I have to change cotton each time when I taste the flavor is drying up. I have to change like 3-4 times a day just to prevent the cotton to be burn and getting dry.

I don't know the rest of the guys here how you wick it, perhaps share some picture on ur tfv4mini wicking so I get the idea how loose and how you fit in your cotton will help.
