My sister passed 1 of the 2 last papers that she sat.  She missed the one that she failed by 2 marks.

Another friend of mine failed all the papers that she took.  One paper from level 2 and 3 from level 3.

ACCA is not easy, but once you are ACCA qualified, you will be much sought after.
*
ya...in acca each and every mark counts...1 mark can turn u from failing to passing the paper sweat.gif

all of us here know how valuable ACCA is....tat's why we're fighting so hard against it.....so gambate guys!!! smile.gif

study lo..i duno wor..
but i heard from my lec..
he say, this term, acca will try to pass everyone..in order to clear the old syllabus.
maybe it's fundamental error leh..i mean if u fail by a few mark..but if u fail by 10above means,u din give enuf effort.
*
yeah....my lecturer at PAAC also said that ACCA will 'clear' as many 'old stock' as possible this sitting...and what's coming out will be easier to spot too...therefore she advised us to take as many papers as possible this sitting...she said it's a golden opportunity wo hmm.gif

i also have the same opinion...

and the best is always refer to the college or uni to get confirmation... laugh.gif

second that. if i was you, i wouldn't give up at the final stage. moreover now core papers rule changed, you don't need to pass all 3 core papers together. think twice buddy smile.gif

icic.... 10x for ur explaination....
btw, since ACCA is external exam paper, mean if sumone self study then pay exam fees can take up ACCA? or must reach certain requirement?

then how bout MMU degree? i cant found it in its website... I know that UCSI degree can exempted from part 1 and part 2.

hah...a quite funny question here. if i take up tarc diploma, i will be exempted till paper 2.2. Then can i sit for 2.3 till 2.6 for the 1st half year. then later i take the part 3 optional and core paper together, so if i pass all in 1st attempt, then i can get my ACCA cert in 3 years?
*
yes you can self study and enter for exams, provided you paid the exams fees to ACCA.

in TARC advance diploma, you do not sit for papers as you like.

in Year 1 1st sem would be paper 2.3 & 2.4, 2nd sem 2.5 & 2.6, 3rd sem industrial training. all part 2 papers are internally assessed. you are eligible to resit once (assignment marks will be exlcuded) if you fail at the 1st attempt. if you fail again, you would have to take external papers.

in Year 2 no exemption is granted. you sit for both internal and external papers. internal papers are usually easier than external papers. if you fail internal paper but fail external paper (vice versa), you will have a hard time. i'm not sure further details as i left during year 1 tongue.gif

ic...10x for ur explaination....u left on the 2nd year? Y? TARC is a bad choice for ACCA?
oo...thx for that link....
so mean if sumone is hardworking enuf, he actually can juz use distance learning way..study at home then go to exam every half year?

hah...actually im thinking to do both on the same time....adv. diploma as a back up....i juz wonder shud i speed up to get my ACCA cert?

btw, wanna ask....ACCA cert from TARC or from SUNWAY or from any institution carry the same weight? I think by logically it shud be the same, but i wonder how bout the fact? Mayb big 4 or other medium firm prefer SUNWAY....
*
ACCA is world wide recognised so it does not really matter which college you obtain the cert from. but mind you, TARC adv diploma provides both ACCA and adv diploma cert upon graduation PROVIDED you passed ext. and int. exams within the time frame. no doubt, the pressure is doubled too. rclxub.gif

TARC is not a bad choice for ACCA but i left because i didn't feel like taking the advance diploma and therefore, i'm not willing to take up the extra stress. moreover, i've studied 2 years there for my diploma. xien jor...wanna go out and try something new smile.gif

absolutely agree with you niu_niu. din't mean to critise TARC but their ACCA lecturers are really nowhere outside lecturers standard. instead of wasting the money paying TARC tuition fees and seeking outside tuitions, i rather study outside. IMO, advance diploma doesn't mean much if you have got ACCA. unlike sunway college, TARC were granted 'premier plus' status mainly due to its campus environment and facilities, not the student's passing rate itself lo tongue.gif

in short, it's good to study diploma in TARC if you are looking for relax campus life. but after diploma... hmm.gif

Added on March 20, 2007, 5:33 pmjust a reminder to all form 5 graduates (or any newbies), please refer to the pinned topics and spend some time do some research in ACCA forum before asking questions like 'what's so good bout ACCA? where will ACCA lead me to? which college is good for ACCA? etc etc'...your co-operations are much appreaciated smile.gif

Relevant for CAT 9, ACCA 2.3, ACCA 3.2 (Malaysian variant)

Well.. i think most of u should have known that government has announced RPGT to be abolished for some incentive purposes.. So if applying the acca six months examinable rule, J07 should be the last sitting for RPGT tax n not examinble anymore from D07.. But, from wat i know, even questions for D07 has been set.. How..??

Besides, even though RPGT will be examinable in J07, but in my opinion, it is ridiculous to test student on something that is not applicable anymore in our real life.. What do u guyz think..??
*
so no RPGT question for J07 sitting? but unlikely wo...RPGT is a sure question in paper 2.3 unsure.gif

To Colly & all top students :

Paper 3.5, is it necessary to Quote the Author's name for its model to interpret the point ??

For example, is it necessary to Quote Peters & Waterman in its theory of "in Search for excellence" ??

The word "Peters & Waterman" carry any marks?? I heard it carry 1 Mark which is substantial blink.gif
If the Question ask to use Model to interpret ur answer.

Does that mean if we put other things which is relevant but not a model, there will no marks be rewarded ?
Or like we forget to quote the Model name (eg. Porter's 5 forces), but we still manage to write its point like Competitive rivalry etc etc points, does that mean we still will be obtain reasonable marks??

Thx notworthy.gif

wrong name spelled. i don't think COOLLY will reply you tongue.gif
