i myself have looked at ftc and bpp books before...i found that FTC is better...

but frankly said,i seldom look at the textbook also...

haha...many questions post to coolly...so i got to answer it lo hor..

erm,ya..when i study for my core..i really din look at the textbook,1st reason is my lecturers' notes are quite good and the 2nd reason is i quite lazy der wo..so no time to finish even the notes..don't say about the textbook already...

but last time i got buy the ftc revision kits for my core papers,but sad to say that i only manage to utilise the 3.6 one to the maximum,coz i not good in accounting..for 3.5 and 3.7,i jus followed my lecturer' note lo...

about the comment on 3.5 leh,i know parmindar is good,but i thought he specialises in IT more to management? i just attended martin class last time,in my opinion,his note is brief,maybe at 1st glance u will feel not so sufficient for ur 3.5,but his class is quite interesting,i can tell u that attending his class won't make u fall asleep der lo...besides that,he got do question with u after each topic,so it is jus like he teach u theory and later guide u on practical by doing questions,see how u can apply wat u learnt to the questions...if u able to join the class questions doing and dare to say out ur points,i believe that by doing this way,it does provide u a consistant way of practice...so when u take the exam,ur brain can react faster...this is my opinion lo...

for 3.7 leh,daniel ho got his unique way of teaching u the calculation part,his way of doing calculations in 2-3 core areas of the papers are all well designed and fast...so for calculation wise in 3.7,i think u should not worry for don't know how to do as long as u can practice the questions more often urself and familiar urself with his way...

the only drawbacks on his class is i think which is the common weakness of most of the chinese lecturers,which is quite weak in theory..the weak in the sense that the lecturer might not able to explain a topic well using words to u during the lecturers..maybe they will mention few important things and tell u the concept then they will proceed to the calculation part...

however,the lecturer does provide u the theory note for u to read...daniel ho is a friendly lecturer,therefore as long as u got questions on anything,he is willing to help u and answer ur querry...so if u join his class,one thing u need to do jus enforce the theory part urself...even u join ksa,in my opinion,i also think u did the same...

I hust wan to said , IF SOME OF U NOT SURE WHETNER CAN PASS THE OPTIONAL PAPERS OR NOT, just don't take the core paper tuition class yet.

for FTMS, there is a "catch up class" after the ACCA result release.

I personally join FTMS revision class, its good !! But, I m not very adapt to their teaching style since I do not take their normal class. (HUGE DIFFERNCE from what TARC lecturer teach)

Hey guys, I was just reading thru the ACCA conversion the other day and I noticed that in the new syllabus the compulsary papers in part 3 are the first 3 papers P1, P2 and P3 unlike our old syllabus where the compulsary papers are the 3 last papers 3.5,3.6,3.7.

So that would mean that under the new syllabus we must sit for our compulsary papers first before we can attempt for the optional papers, rite?

And another thing that came to my attention is.. theres a new module called the Ethics Module for acca members who register for the first time in Jan 07. Does anyone know what exactly this module is? Is it examinable? Whats the syllabus?

i think not much ppl is clear about the ethic module as most of us also got exempted from it.. Itz an online exam, which i would say not that difficult to pass, just testing on ethic isue.. Do you guyz think that ethic module important.?? I dun really bother of it as i think it like nth only.. (student register first b4 Jan07 is not compulsory to take, but is 'encourage' to opt for it)

Erm, how much ll it helps by knowing legal liability bla bla to prevent another enron case..?? It jus like teaching a samseng civiks education (pendidikan moral).. Dun tell me the enron case, he himself dunno his own risk of doing it..

December 2006 The pass rates are out!!aiyo...now im a little bit scary when i see malaysia % pass..still very low..most scary is 3.1,3.2.. but there's a relief for sunway student..their % are mostly above the world rates!!

Sunway has a Self-Study Programme itself. But there is no MYS 2.3 taxation, only UK 2.3.
