December 2006 exam session is the biggest yet

A record-breaking number of students have taken ACCA examinations, and will receive their results this week. 149,178 candidates entered ACCA's December 2006 examinations, generating over 331,000 scripts from 350 centres around the world.

And in keeping with the makeup of ACCA members, candidates came from a wide variety of working backgrounds - with the majority working in the corporate sector, followed by public practice and the public sector.

Clare Minchington, ACCA's managing director of education, learning and development, said: "These are impressive numbers and we are delighted that so many students took their December examinations, which have yet again managed to maintain their professional rigour while offering a breadth of opportunities for candidates around the world."

I think it's easy to talk. Im facing the same problem mentioned by roy_pck. The pressure is really unbearable for those who used to relax. IMO, for some of TARC's core papers, the lecturers didnt performed as expected by the students. Therefore, we doubled up our pressure by attending classes at KSA, Segi, FTMS and McO. This is very common in TARC. Actually we do not need 2 do this is if our own lecturers taught us well. I'm just being transperant and do not have the intention to talk bad about TARC here publicly.
Recently, course tutor just told us that TARC optional papers results were quite dissapointing because we do not meet the world passing rate. The school was quite worry about the "premier plus" status and was unsure whether TARC can maintain it or not. Even the Head of School came for us during lecture and address the problem with us. As being said, they told us that they will give us all we need if we requested.... fed up to listen to such phrase ady. I thk the school shd know where's the root of the problem but somehow they didnt do anything to correct it. In addition, TARC is also interested to apply for the platinum status for the new coming syllabus...A big question mark here!
