Hi all,

I would like to add my bad experience with GemFive with you all and hope others can learn from mine:

I ordered an expensive item, Garmin Forerunner 235 for RM 1520 from GemFive. I bought a few items from there before but they are all low priced items and I did not find any problems then so I decided to buy this watch there as they were giving some discounts.

Shipping took quite a while to arrive (about a week plus). As I was eagerly excited opening up the package then to my horror this was what I find. See attached photos. The box has been badly crumpled and torn in some parts. Although there aren't any visible damage on the watch but because the merchant and Gemfive did not use any foam to absorb any impacts during shipment, it might have affected the watch internally seeing the box's bad condition!

To make matter worse, I bought this watch as a gift! How can I give a present in such a condition?!

For an expensive item such as this, I expected better packaging condition. There was no foam around the box to protect it from damage, only the box and the plastic bag. This is incredulous to say the least. Even sellers that sells phone cases like this awesome seller package their items better than Gemfive. Their only reply to my complain is a cold "sorry, we will improve next time".

To sum it all, I am very disappointed with Gemfive. Guys, kindly think twice before purchasing any expensive items from them, their discounts might not worth it.

I don't recommend people to buy from Gemfive. No seller info, no rating, no feedback, slow updates, slow delivery etc.

i second that from my experience. for cheap items less than rm10 okay. anything more, just pray hard.

Both seller and Gemfive are unprofessional especially the later. I found out a few days ago my Gemfive account can't be used to login; they must have deleted it after I made a complaint. haha

For my case which is quite similar to yours, the seller did not even send the item after 5 days of processing so I sent an email to GemFive( abbr. GF) demanded for my full refund without their BS cancellation fees. They returned it to me in full. With still no seller rating feature in GF, no thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere.

My 1st experience with Gemfive.

Its already a bad experience.

Bought something that shown "in stock" in Gemfive app.
I found merchant contact the next day & message them roughly how long will the shipping take.

Guess what, merchant said "no stock", i was so dissapointed & asked why didnt they update as no stock so i could buy from someone or someplace else.

Merchant said, Gemfive system was hard to handle as Gemfive are the ones did not update their app & system...not the merchant themselves.

After checking for any cancellation options, i saw no buttons for cancellation except u have to email them.
And also in the cancellation T & C, u can read they will charge u rm10 or 2% of ur deals for cancellation process....ohhhh my ass...

End up i told merchant i will wait for restock & email gemfive customer service on gemfive lousy system.

I doubt they will get into it anyway.
