Oh I have question about postcard/post office. How much does it cost me to send a postcard to Malaysia? Is it cheap enough? Do the post offices easily located? I am thinking of sending home few postcards, whenever I reach that places. You know, the stamp is what matters

I am officially starting to plan for a trip to Hokkaido. Targeting July next year for the Lavender season. After a quick read-up today, I have group the destinations to:

Confirm going: Sapporo, Otaru, Furano
Under consideration (75% chance): Asahikawa, Biei
Under consideration (50% chance): Noboribetsu, Hakodate
Want to go but seems 0% chance: Shiretoko, Daisetsuzan 

Planning for 6-7 nights.
Wanted to try out ANA or JAL but seems they have transits. Taking direct AA flight, the main concern is the very early departure time on the return trip. Still thinking how to solve this.

Guys, Otaru is a 1-day or 2-days trip? Seems like it is similar to Kurashiki whereby the canal area can be explored in less than a day.

Very rough plan:

Sapporo - 3 days
Otaru - 1 day (day trip)
Furano / Biei - 1 day (day trip)
Noboribetsu / Lake Toya - 1 day (day trip)

Still thinking whether want to allocate 1 or 2 days for Furano / Biei. Since this is suppose to be a lavender trips, seems rugi if just go there for 1 day. If 2 days, will still be making daily trips.

Not going to Hakodate due to distance, time and cost factor. Staying at Sapporo throughout the trip.

My plan so far

Day 0 - Arrived, Overnight in airport
Day 1 - Sumida / Asakusa / Asakusabashi (hotel is at this area)
Day 2 - Akihabara / Tokyo central/Nihonbashi / Ginza
Day 3 - Tokyo Tower area / Tsukiji area / Odaiba
Day 4 - Mibu/Tochigi / Ueno / Tokyo Dome area
Day 5 - Checkout from Asakusabashi / Kawaguchiko
Day 6 - Checkout from Kawaguchiko / Shinjuku

Day 7-10 need to be adjusted depending on the hotel. Haven't decided yet which hotel to go. So can consider not finalized yet.
Day 7 - Harajuku / Shibuya / Roppongi
Day 8 - Nakano / Ikebukuro
Day 9 - Disneyland area (might scrap this plan)
Day 10 (last) - Free day. Dont know where to go. Might repeat to Akihabara. Flight at 11.45PM

That's why I put sikit sikit popular spot only in the itinerary.  They're not that old but still strong! Hopefully my dad and mother will not hurt their foot lah
