QUOTE(deodorant @ Feb 2 2016, 10:01 PM) Reporting in from Nozawa Onsen! Congratulations Travel time was brutal - 6+ hr flight then 3 hr train then 30 min bus. And it's cold as hell up here in the hills. It's OK though, ski time! Haven't touched a ski pole or a ski boot for I think 12 or 13 years, so consider not too bad lah. It snowed today which was kind of cool and yet also annoying to get all the snow in your face when you're going down a slope. |

QUOTE(mercindustries @ Feb 8 2016, 02:29 PM) yes, make sure you activate international withdrawal first. I usually do my withdrawals at 7-i atms but i think any international banks should be able to (citibank, hsbc). Never had luck with Japanese native ATMs. Charges wise there is I can't recall how much on top of exchange rate. You also can use Japan Post Office to withdraw money from ATM. I`m using CIMB debit card...before fly to Japan ,need to activate International Wit draw at local CIMB ATM. Malaysian credit cards have pin? I usually sign off on my purchases. |

QUOTE(ukiya @ Feb 16 2016, 11:48 PM) Hi guys, Maybe its nearest ski resort from Sapporo..any advise for ski resort nearby Sapporo? prefer cheap in renting ski equipment, lift as well as with english support. Currently checking out previous mentioned Kokusai. Anywhere else I can less time traveling n easier to access? I stayed in Susukino, Sapporo. Do you think I can manage in time to reach CTS Airport and check in baggage in the next morning to catch my AirAsia flight back to KL at 9:20AM? Possible? Or should I stay in Airport Terminal CTS? Or any alternative as in earlier bus or any cheap budget taxi contact available? Taxi may be my last resort... http://www.sapporo-teine.com/snow/ Susukino... |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Mar 1 2016, 12:56 PM) Well thanks to Japanese government and the PM Abe Shinzo for the Airbnb ban regulations. Well,Not at all but some of them. Japanese normally don't want noisy and want to follow their rules..If you cannot stay and adapt their environment ..no wonder their government have to banned.Want to do also wait until after Olympic 2020 la. But then it is those Japanese mindset, they do not feel easy if their neighborhood always have different gaijin staying. |
