stay at Shinjuku good enough. no need to move actually.

actually whats the best nearest station of shinjuku best to stay in because non of the airbnb or hotels are nearby the main shinjuku station
they're either higashi shinjuku, shinjuku sanchome, nishi-shinjuku, tochomae and yoyogi station

I went to japan without booking any accomodation

For my first night I found a net cafe at shibuya

Its enough for me except theres no washer and dryer for me to wash my very few clothes

Then I moved and stayed at Centurion hotel in Akasaka

It's a capsule like hotel and great if you prefer more privacy
*
u should have surfed airbnb
net cafe and hostel can't beat airbnb with a washer brows.gif

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Aug 13 2016, 11:13 AM)
Go Japan bojio!!!  vmad.gif

Most of the Airbnb units there provide free portable wifi egg.

Otherwise, you can also rent the wifi egg from airports when you arrive. If I recall correctly, was around RM20 a day or so. Depending on company.

Last time I help a friend to buy the travel sim also from Bic. But I can't remember how much already. It was this one: https://t.iijmio.jp/en/

Coming Tokyo trip, I'm just going for Airbnb units that provide wifi egg.
*
the wifi egg all have a daily quota
so it will depends on your daily usage...and how many ppl will be using it
their house have no internet, they use this wifi egg to replace it
so if you're using to surf FB or youtube when you're back at home...i suggest getting an extra wifi egg on your own

Ohhh. I didn't know that. Good to know.
Do you know roughly how much is the daily quota? Looks like I'll have to ask the airbnb unit owner before I confirm any bookings then.
*
i ask a few..like 3-4
some dnt reply or dnt understand what i ask
but got one who is not native japanese(taiwanese), he got answer me...he say 1GB/day
if u do your usual thing when back home like in other country...surely no enough
speed is unknown...some forummer here did mention they use the lower speed ones

I see. Hopefully the ones I ask will understand laugh.gif
1GB a day for me alone is good enough. But for 4 then a bit of a stretch.

Then again, mostly be using it for emails, whatsapp, getting around and some bragging on social media only.
*
u can try, most dnt know what im asking so they simply didn't reply to that question
or they simply reply "high speed internet"
for 4 ppl, have to get own wifi egg....i also planned to get one...1GB/day for 3 ppl isn't enough for me, for outside searching for maps and POI is ok

i always wanted to ask ...this applies to other country as well
regarding the immigration slip
there will be a column regarding where u will be staying
so if one booked airbnb, what would u write on that column?
