Back to the Liverpool Echo article. The writer's got a point actually. He's been very much the constant in Liverpool's defence since Carra retired, and I have never been assured of our defensive strength ever since. Especially during corners and free kicks. I remember watching Skrtle captain his Slovakia national team in one or two matches. While he played ok, he was certainly not a strong leader or a leader at all! A good defence needs leadership. It needs a Carra shouting at everyone to mark their man or stay in their zone or at the keeper to distribute the ball in a certain way. Skrtle is a quiet guy.
Klopp is hoping that Lovren can return on boxing day to partner Sakho. Apparently the Sakho/Lovren defensive statistics is not bad at all.
With Skrtel out for 6 weeks, we are in desperate need of CB. Sakho is relatively injury prone to be honest. Louvren is still picking up his fitness and confidence. Toure's legs are gone.
This might force Klopp to get a CB in during January. Possibly Subotic on loan as he is not favoured by Dortmund's coach Tuchel. And Subotic has been Klopp's trusted CB. He had followed Klopp from Mainz to Dortmund. Hopefully we can get a deal. Otherwise we are gonna be screwed without CB. Thank you BR for loaning out Tiago Ilori to Aston Villa where he only gets to play for their U21's matches WTH!

This is so true, in Watford game, their players played a much more gegen pressing than us. When they press us aggressively, most of our players became nervous and clumsy, then there goes the miss pass. To mentioned a few would be all the back four, Can and Firmino. Lucas, Hendo, Coutinho, and Lallana still ok-ish when press by opponent.
