Marko Grujic has agreed a five-year contract with Liverpool ahead of completing his £5million move from Red Star Belgrade.

The highly-rated Serbia Under-21s midfielder is expected to fly to Merseyside this week to undergo a medical.

Liverpool will pay Red Star 7million euros (£5million) to secure his services. However, under the terms of the deal, the Reds will receive 1million euros (£730,000) back as a loan fee after agreeing to let him remain in his homeland until the end of the season.

Red Star have also negotiated a 10% sell-on clause.

Initially, Liverpool feared they would miss out to Inter Milan in the battle for the 19-year-old's signature.

However, Klopp spoke to Grujic personally in order to spell out why he wanted him at Anfield and that swung the deal the Reds' way. - difference between Klopp and Rodgers.

This is another re-building. But I wouldnt mind this one. Klopp has proven he can do it. Unlike BR.

That was pretty much a Suarez one-man show or two at best with Sturridge.

The strongest team that we have had in the PL era was probably the 08-09 season with Rafa. But as a squad we were always lacking quality players/depth in numerous positions.

I wouldn't call it a team unless you consider Suarez to be a one-man team.

This is still BR's team and it is bang average yet very costly. Biggest weakness is in midfield and wing positions.

The lowest % of shots on target saved in a Premier League season is 64% (Newcastle last term). Liverpool currently on 62%.

Klopp need someone who in the team who can lead. I mean multiple individuals who has leadership kind of character and to boost the team. Hendo can do it but he is alone.

Brilliant insight from an independent chief scout regarding Marko Grujic:

Marko Grujic - 96-born, defensive midfielder/box-to-box midfielder (prefers latter position), imposing physique (192 cm);

More of a constructive & intelligent midfielder with excellent vision & passing (long/short) abilities than a classic ball winner;

Comfortable, quite elegant in possession, right footed but decent ability w/weaker foot. Precise, powerful shot & strong in the air;

Reasonably dynamic despite his size, though agility less of an issue in possession (good progression w/ball) than without the ball;

Hard to predict the adaptability of players with mentioned characteristics but he's mature for his age & has a first class mentality;

Given time to settle he surely has the potential to become a very useful first team player for Liverpool. Low risk at "quoted" price;

Rumours are saying that he will wear the famous no.8 shirt. He is got balls of steel if it is true.

In Klopp first summer at Dortmund, he sold six players and let another three go on free transfers.

Those LFC under-performers should be worried if they still wish to be here next season. Good thing is that Klopp will give them until the end of the season to prove their worth.

Days like yesterday hurt now, but will have taught Klopp more than any win would.

Looking at the league table,
The outcome end of season potential:
Leicester won the league (top of the league),
CP (same point with 4th currently) and Watford (1 points from the 4th) qualified the CL.

If like that, it will really ashame on the scout, transfer committee and managers of the big club across.
