I think M$ won't be banning (modded) anytime soon lo~
If pirated games can be played~ it would guarantee the sales of the console~
The price of the game will definitely make you to buy or not to buy (modded)~
Unless you, sir, have a decent income or very rich~
Because for console you pay once~ but for the games you will constantly buying~ it's very burdenning~
Being able to play pirated games will attract people to go for it~
M$ wants to improve its market share~
The only thing they can do is sell more consoles~
In the mean time, it would reassuring the game developers too
Proving that the console sales is robust, more people would develope games on xbox platform~
Actually with the existance of pirates~ M$ won't face any big problem~

They should ban the XBL players who are using modded. But just ban the account. I think this will be profiting for microsoft as people can keep making accounts and microsoft can keep banning them

Furthermore it wouldn't affect people playing pirated games offline.

For those of you with modded consoles, did the shop give you your original firmware?

I modded my 360 myself a few days ago, and because I did it myself I got to choose which firmware to install (the latest) and I have the backups of the original firmware.

I disable a network connection until I actually want to play on Live (which is not very often), and if I ever hear that MS have started banning then all I have to do is put back the original firmware and everything is as good as new.



Modded because GoW sold out everywhere and couldn't wait. So modded, downloaded game, burned to DVD and played straight away without ever leaving the house!

My personal policy is only to go on Live with original games though.
