QUOTE(Invince_Z @ Dec 11 2015, 09:50 PM) what's the difference? OMG the second slot can only do 2G? 3G also cannot ka?http://en.miui.com/thread-155075-1-1.html in mi forum above, they said tdd and fdd have no difference for global. all bands works, however, only sim 1 have 4g, while sim 2 2g only. fdd all 2 sim 4g. correct? One way to test is to simply stick the simcard into one slot after another & see the signal? hehe charging my phone now so dun wanna disturb |

QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Dec 12 2015, 11:11 AM) thx bro. will try it later. hv u used it b4? hahaha my phone signal very spotty, on fringe of network coverage. Only good in one corner. Just wonder if i can take & make calls from a bluetooth paired tablet in my no-reception toilet (hahahaha joking only but u get my point lah) without a bluetooth headset (anyway bluetooth headset cannot dial properly, if at all) |

QUOTE(autob0t @ Dec 12 2015, 12:56 PM) hahahaha da fuq!!!QUOTE(mulut99 @ Dec 12 2015, 01:33 PM) Only 1 thing i dont like is RN2 cannot transfer apps to external SD, K3 Note can. oh dear 16GB very fast habis lidat Only is....it need a full protected case like ipaky or cloned slim armour case. If accidentaly drop it....bye bye. I handled a fren's new Sony Experia dunno what model but max 5" or maybe smaller but he said RM900. Feel heavier & more solid. My beloved RN2 feel like appeton skinny flyweight. Damn shy hahaha hehehe about the dust going into the front cam, guess the only thing to do is to cover the hole on the protector??? blechhhhh Is there any QC-failed protectors without front cam hole? Today, used waze first time on the RN2 .... wow! smoooooooth |

QUOTE(kernel123 @ Dec 13 2015, 06:59 PM) I have done basically everything I know to save battery life. Location, sync, brightness..failed . Just read previous post, need to root and down clock the cpu speed to 1.4.. hahaha means the delivered 2GHz is over-spec'd for normal use? Wonder how the user experience will be affected when down clocked |

The "file explorer" is so diff from what I'm used to. Can't find the 3-dot menu to do stuff and no tree view. It doesn't even say "SD card"... Just types of files and how many.
Am I doing something wrong? |

QUOTE(shinjite @ Dec 8 2015, 11:31 AM) Previously I do encountered that issue but now its all okay already. I have just tried and manage to download. QUOTE(chkwong @ Dec 14 2015, 03:51 PM) Flashing:- Bros, is there only one version of Mi PC Suite? I found a link to MiSetup2.2.0.4302_2717.zip & the exe file is dated May 7, 2015. Is that the latest version or perhaps the only version ?1. MIUI default update. 2. Mi PC Suite. 3. TWRP. 4. If all else fails, use miflash. This works all the time so far. And restore back to original MIUI rom. This post has been edited by okuribito: Dec 16 2015, 10:40 PM |

QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Dec 17 2015, 01:44 PM) At 1st they keep saying no sales record, as it is not bought from their official online store. You can also ask the CS agent for a screenshot of your IMEI in their dbase like some of us didI told them is bought from Lazada online store. Then, I take a picture on both the imei and serial number sticker on the back of the phone for them, then they confirm for me. They mention I no need register the phone with my personal detail for the warranty. |

QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Dec 18 2015, 10:37 AM) I don't recommend using 3rd party camera apps in the stock camera app, there's manual mode, right? But I saw only got white balance and ISO manual settings. is there any way i can set exposure compensation? Because I try before many 3rd party camera apps, they significantly much slower than stock camera apps. They also crash quite often. But their image result actually is better than stock camera apps, much lower noise, much better night shoot. I only try 3rd party camera apps on one of my low end tablet. |

Quick review of RN2's camera on dpReview FYI everybody
Our back camera sensor is Samsung S5K3M2, front camera is Omni Vision 5670. Both suppliers are said to be manufacturers with low ave selling prices according to this articlee on androidauthority. Frankly, I will use my dslr if I wanted to make poster sized prints for the wall. So I'm not too worried or flustered about this nugget of info (hahaha I even think 13mp is overkill lah given a smartphone's form factor) On the other hand, with the F2.0 capability, there's opportunity to take pics with shallow depth of field. However, I find it frustrating trying to figure out how to execute focus & recompose to get the subject off center. Also I just can't figure out how to access the exposure compensation slider. I think on the Mi4, there's a button for this in the manual control menu. None in RN2's. Has anyone figured out these issues? Any instructional videos? |
