Lazada items can be returned at Mail Boxes Etc (MBE). They're authorised agent for return collections and located at many places.

That sounds good. But money refund how? I dun have lazada account. bot using email option wor

Also takut they say I messed up their phone & withhold my refund.

kinda shitty situation  smile.gif

Bro, if you are on the phone with them tomoro, try ask them ... maybe they hv arrangement with xiaomi msia but not updated our IMEIs on their system yet? Also ask if they can replace with xiaomi m'sia sets  smile.gif

Thanks
*
I also want to check with them whether it's really cash refund into my credit card or store credit like Zalora. I want cash so that I can place order with Mi Malaysia.

Will also ask them if it's possible for them to replace a Mi Malaysia set for us, other than refund method. I also hope that it's a technical issue that our IMEIs are not updated on their system.

One thing to confirm whether our units are local or not is to check whether it comes with global or China rom. okuribito can u check urs since u have opened it? Thanks in advance.

And also those who have bought from Lazada, kindly make a call to them to reflect the situation. More complaints received should yield more concrete actions from them.

my lazada rm569 set is 7.0.8.0 by default and after connect to internet immediately receive update notification to 7.0.12.0,
so currently is
Android ver : 5.0.2 LRX22G
MIUI ver : MIUI 7.0 | Stable | 7.0.12.0(LHMMICI)
*
LHMMICI "MM" is global ROM according to posts in the previous thread.

If that's the case, the theory of IMEI not updated seems increasingly likely. Because our Lazada units are original (non-fake), from Hong Kong (with the sticker) and preloaded with global ROM. They are identical as Mi Malaysia units only without the confirmation from Mi that it's covered under their warranty.

xakarix84 Do you have the service card from Mi like what was posted in a pic a few pages back?

Thanks for sharing. Your charger is also UK 3-pin type? If yes, then it's definitely not looking like AP China set. Only thing is that warranty is still undetermined for now.

yea 3 kaki one, wonder what type HK and Taiwan use?
*
HK uses 3-pin like us whereas Taiwan uses 2-pin like the US/Mainland.

I'm just thinking maybe the HK set is considered the global set since they all have the HK safety sticker, 3-pin plug and pre-loaded with global ROM.

Yea that too is on the box. Seems like it's the SG regulator Infocomm Development Authority. See: page

but more interesting ... i saw this when I clicked on regulatory info >>

MCMC worrr  nod.gif  more evidence the set is for malaysia???

You must tell the lazada fella to check why our IMEIs not on the the xiaomi m'sia database!!! Maybe someone forget to do or in process??? hahaha OR does it even work that way?
*
Nice! more things pointing towards it being a local set. The MCMC thing is definitely ours. Hopefully Lazada & ECS Astar can sort out the issue as to why our IMEIs and warranty info don't tally in Mi's database.

But the thing is when Mi ran the check on my IMEI, she immediately concluded that it's from China. I'm not sure she meant it's a China AP set or just it's made in China (all Xiaomis are made in China duh).

Well i guess we can ask the rest who have bought AP sets to verify and post their regulatory information, then we will know the difference! smile.gif

we have lazada said M'sia warranty, we have MCMC as regulatory, we have HK sirim sticker, we have S'pore sirim sticker, we have Diedar Oleh ECS ASTAR SDN BHD sticker  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

Another possible thing to do is to check with Mi Malaysia service center whether our IMEIs are in their system. Something definitely happened along the way.

I'm speculating that ECS (assuming that they are authorised) imported global sets directly from Mi China but haven't updated the IMEIs with Mi Malaysia yet. So the IMEI & warranty may still be tagged to China.

Btw customer service reps that i chatted with were based in SG, looking at the web domain. I was connected through Mi Malaysia's website to reach them.

i guess your old std size sim card dont come with 4g.

just replace your sim card at any tel shop.
*
But according to Umobile, any sim be it old/new is LTE-compatible and does not require replacement (SMS registration required). I do know that Maxis/Hotlink need to get it replaced to newer ones.

hehehe thinking further, is there any adapter for the micro sim to be used in my old phone? assuming i keep the old phone for emergency backup? and 4G card can still stick into old phone for using 3g only?
*
If u get it replaced at telcos, their simcards are usually the convertible type. Meaning that you will get it in normal sim size, but the middle part can be detached and become a microsim. You just keep the outer part and affix the microsim back into it, if you need to use it on your old phone. No adapters required then. biggrin.gif

My lazada RN2 got a different answer from Mi chat support. Said that my IMEI is tagged to China and not local warranty. Makes me wonder if the IMEIs are gradually updated into their system? hmm.gif When did you place your order? Mine was on Tue 1/12 around 5.36pm

GOOD NEWS: My Lazada unit (sold and fulfilled by Lazada) is confirmed under MY warranty! rclxm9.gif

Apparently, Mi can only check our IMEI on their system at it is. So Lazada needs to update our IMEI with Mi to include our units under local MY warranty.

As long as our IMEI is in the system, local service centers will recognise that too.

Just chat with them & still blardy China set

Gonna email Lazada & hantam them gaw gaw. ckweng can I quote your chats?

btw doesn't anyone think it's odd that the IMEI and/or the S/N of the phone is not mentioned in the Lazada invoice?
*
Bro, I suggest that u check with Mi again in the coming days. If really not reflected in their system, then only contact Lazada. So far the Lazada staff who is investigating my case hasnt gotten back to me yet.

If u ever email Lazada, just email then nicely haha. Sometimes it's easier that way smile.gif

Yup I wonder why those details are not included. Or maybe that is just Lazada's standard printout for orders?

[Sorry in advance for this post] notworthy.gif *posted in Garage Sales too*

Hi all, I've got a brand new iPaky Neo Hybrid Bumper Back Case Cover (Silver) to let go. Pretty nice design and decent quality but I've decided to go on a more conservative/corporate design.

This Silver color is currently sold out by most sellers in Malaysia and I'm willing to let it go at prices lower than theirs.

Kindly PM me if interestered. Price can be lower if willing to COD at Midvalley. smile.gif

Those who are using Wakeup Touch Nexus or Wakeup Touch L, do you all have concerns on overworking the proximity sensor? Also, does it impact the phone's battery life a lot?
