thanks sangterap.. tongue.gif

btw, there's no breeders here in lyn that i could get info on how much they're selling their hedgies? would like to make price survey smile.gif

Well, if you ask me, i would say try not to get the same hedgie from the same breeder as i feel you might get one from the same parents from breeding.Anyway, it should be about RM280 but thats already kinda hard to get..Maybe you could get one from X-Free.His Mandisa is up for sale due to personal reasons but Mandisa is really cute..

He got his valid reasons. Well, if it's destined then I'll just have to do what I have to do. I'm sure there are many more good candidates out there.
*
So, does this mean that you are going to keep Heart or is he still waiting for a good candidate?

babymoli,

we brought her to Lee Vet Clinic. It's located at Unit 32A-1, Ground Floor, Jalan PJU 1/3A, Sunway Mas Commercial Centre. Numbers are 78031966/012-2059106. It is somewhere near the Dataran Prima area heading towards Tropicana.

Hope it is the same problem so can be treated the same way. Good luck!
*
Hi, i am quite familiar with Dataran Prima area.May i know around where it is located or any particular landmarks there so that it will be easier for me to find it?

Anyone knows any particular Vet that knows how to treat a hedgehog and opens on Sunday?

okie...you know LDP? after you pass Kelana Jaya, you'll come to Taman Mayang and right after Tmn Mayang there's a huge church? next to the church there's a turning to your left. Take that turning and go straight. Up the hill and you will see a commercial area Dataran Prima and the rest of the shoplots are there. The clinic is quite deep inside.

Good luck finding it....
*
Well, i used to work in the Dataran Prima area so i am quite familiar with it...In that case, i shall go and search it out tomorrow and see. Thanks for your info..Do you know whether it opens on Sunday?

Well, maybe i could go ahead and go back to Ren's previous vet which is Dr. Yeoh or maybe check out the vet at Pets Family...But personally, even though Dr. Yeoh have noticeable recommendation, the first time i bought Ren for check up seems to be quite simple.Too simple until i am starting to think that he's not that expert though..lol..Anyway, i would check out all the vet first before bringing Ren there.I could afford going to all the vet if that might cure Ren.

Went to so many vets today but none is opened or the vet is not in.Tried Dr.Yeoh, Pets Family and Pets Safari as well.In the end, went to a new Vet in Kota Damansara area for check up.The vet have a look and said that it was not ear infection. Its just a normal pimple or skin disease that grew nearby the ear.Poke it out already and i think its fine...

Oh...Kota Damansara is Dr. Hasnol?
*
Well, he is a chinese.Dr. Chan IIRC and his shop is located near Palm Spring area..He doesnt really know how to treat a hedgehog but at least he is honest and friendly...Dr. Hasnol shop is nearby the EON bank there right?

QUOTE(hao @ Jan 8 2007, 03:07 PM)
Pimple huh.... Ren is a teenager now... LOL!!!
*
lol..i guess so.It grew near the ear there. The doctor just gave him some prescribed medication such as antiseptic cream.

QUOTE(wongzai @ Jan 8 2007, 03:54 PM)
juz curious, how the vet pop it out? em....
*
Well, at first he wanted to do it by hand but Ren was moving alot.Too painful i guess. After that, he uses a needle.Easily, he can pop out the pimple and was just only needing to wash it using antiseptic cream and some antibiotic as well..Luckily at that time, Ren wasnt curling. He was being a good boy, by just avoiding the doc, trying to run away but still doesnt curl up...

any pics of it?
*
lol..its so hard to put the medication, not to talk about taking pictures yet.Anyway, its just plain normal bulges at the outer side of the ear, and looks like what normal pimple looks...

Anyway, just check on it today and its already healing up.The pimple is gone but will keep him under medication for the next few days..

Of course lar... cos the pimple is inside his ear... laugh.gif
*
LOL..its not inside.. doh.gif ..Its actually outsite, nearby the quills area but its already completely healed.Even during the pimple infection time, he is still very active.Just bought a new pack of Go Natural for him.Might change his diet soon.He is a big eater..Like around 1 - 1 1/2 pack of cat food every month..lol...

Anyway, just feel that he is becoming quite tame already.Still let me hold him quite for quite some time if the position is right before running away again...

after looking at few petshops it is really a disappointing journey to scout for a good hedgie ;o.

either the price is incredibly inflated, the hedgie itself is wild, old, poor health conditions and obese(sounds like a package from all the pet shop).

seeing this the best bet to get a good deal hedgie now is always from a hobbist breeder. >_>
*
I agree with you on this.Last time out, not considering the price, i still can see hoglets on sale that are in good condition (at least from the physical part) as in PWMV and NN Pet house but the price is incredibly high..Now, no more already..most of them are either too old or terribly injured as in those hedgehog in PS...

whoa, hedgehog can be pet too? anyway the spike must be sharp ... mmm
*
If you are wondering, yes, hedgehog can be pets as well. Those spike are called quills and they are sharp. But with enough care and understanding of how to handle them, they are fairly easy to handle without hurting yourself. The quills are sharp but i dont think it will be sharp enough to poke through you..lol..
