Clinic depends on which clinic lar... not all clinic knows how to treat exotics.. and also its quite risky to jab a young hedgehog.. u can consult a vet first hand before doing anything though...

Even the vet I go to do not dare jab... coz he said a slight wrong dosage can coz death..... it is better for experience vets....
Anyway, what you spray in the container? Frontline as well? Mites love to stay in woodshavings.... during mite treatment, you have to constantly change wood shavings or just use newspaper like Hao said. Also scratching could be just a sign of irritation, the mites would have already died with the treatment. It takes 2 weeks to recover, not overnight miracle hahaha. |

You put both in the same container? If 1 has mites, you should not even house them in the same room coz the mites spread very fast wan.
No, you do not need to spray frontline in the container lah.... coz you said spray.... I thought spray what.... |

Oh... when got mites, should not be side by side.... got possibility of the younger one getting infected by mites since it can spread fast.

Cloth and towels are the best bedding. Keep on that, sure no mites hahaah....
Another alternative is the recycled newspaper bedding called Breeder's Celect.... that is also good to use, won't cause mites. Besided BC... can also get Healthy Pet, similar like BC... both of these can buy from Pet Safari and price is at a range between Rm16.80 to RM22 for 6L. |

I did mentioned that check out the woodshavings packaging before purchasing to see if the packaging is torn which allows mites to infested right? Keep the woodshaving fully sealed everytime when you don't use it.

QUOTE(broken_string @ Jul 13 2007, 10:18 PM) how long need to wash once? Won't last for one week lar... 2-3 days the most. And you have to choose the fabric carefully, if not will tangle your hedgies feet... newspaper is suitable, just that it gets messy sometime...i thought of using those cloth that ppl put in front of bathroom around 2ft wide one and quite thick wash once a week u tink ok or not? btw newspaper suitable for hedge? not dirty meh, tat fella keep on licking the newspaper |

Yes... cloth can only last 2 to 3 days.... and the towel or cloth has to be something like tshirt material... no lopes or stringy bits... must be smooth and clean.
