wow, just read all the pages these few days. A bit late for the elegence party, but learned a lot from all the grandmasters here. Just bought myself the 2012 (A) from an uncle, clock at almost 150k, the engine and performance is still good despite the age and higher mileage -touchwood- Paid RM1k as "jadi", that uncle straight tukar all the tyres, front new absorber, all 4 absorber mounting, new timing belt, new tinted, new engine oil and auto oil and new reg no. as he need his old no. 5555. Paid the balance by bankers cheque, he issued another cheque for me RM300 as angpow. Such a good new year.

I have to wait all day at the workshop watching the foreman doing his job. I guess the price paid rm19k for the legacy, some may say mahal. He is giving me 2 months personal warranty, "apa rasa tara sedap, tara puas hati kasitau sama saya, saya buat balik".

at least all important parts are newly replaced..only the engine & aircond need to monitor..anyway, what year is the car?
*
2012, mileage clock at 148k currently. No infamous iafm ktak ktak sound so far. I am monitoring everything such as oil leak, oil level and other fluid level as well. Except the weird behavior of central locking, it will lock automatically even when I am still keep the door open which will triggering the alarm. Worst if tertinggal key inside.

Hey guys. My aircond knob is now acting up. It will keep turn on-off by itself.
I remember a member mention before we can replace / repair it cheaply instead of buying a new aircond console.
Do anyone know about the info? Thanks!

Having the same problem as well, waiting others to feed if the solution without changing the whole unit is possible.

My cabin filter is not there, no wonder the air blows so strong and loud. Need to find one.

Had the same issue, but I got mine replaced instead. I never did try repairing the thing, but I remember some said it's just a matter of cleaning up the contact area
Whole thing missing? Passenger never complained before of really strong air at the foot well? laugh.gif

just the filter, the box is still there haha. Maybe the previous owner removed it purposely. Sealed the hole slot with binding tape and and walla, winter storm inside the car 😁

And which spec Persona do you own?
*

Mmhmm.. If your mileage after 2 years+- will only increase by about 30,000KM ~ 40,000KM, there's no point going for tyres with long thread life. You should be changing tyres based on age as well besides wear. Most tyres should last 30,000 to 40,000KM easily.

If your Persona is Base/Medium Line, put more emphasis on grip. The braking system sucks and there is no ABS for B/M Line. If yours has ABS however, just go with any decent tyres like CC6 from Continental. 15" tyres are cheap anyway. Premium ones are between RM200 ~ RM300 per piece only, very similarly priced to average ones.
*
thank you, will see about that, using M line and I am agree with you as good grip is the most priority now.

My fuel consumption is currently on 7.3ltr of 100km, slight increase from 7.2 previously. I wonder if the reading is really a real and not an estimation, how does the calibration works actually?

How do you get 7.3 L/100km? Mine was 8.1 and now increased to 8.3  cry.gif

Wish I know to answer that. Looking at my friend's, having at 6.4 on manual and I am 7.3 on auto making me such jelly how save it is and the big gap between the cars.

Same, unless highway drive and reset the average FC before journey, then can be as low as 6.5L/100km
*
Mind to explain more on how to reset the bold part? or it will auto reset itself? TQ

I am thinking to change all my tyres to Hankook V2 at RM160 each inclusive of gst, balancing and installation. There are mixed reviews about it, some says good and some aren't. What do you guys have to say about this and the price quoted?

My guess most of the persona owners have changed to other brands or models, very less discussions currently.

still here, apa lu mau tanya? joking...
btw, hankook v2 heard wet gripping not so good. You may try Kumho Ecsta PS31, good gripping but sidewall too soft, else it's great tyre otherwise.
if you're hardcore go for hankook v12 evo 2.
*
Read about that as well, read the not so good feedbacks about hankook v2 and conti cc6 as well in handling the wet road. Now I am peeking to GY Triplemax, asked from 2 shops and they have no stock currently. Will look for another these few days.

the price is pretty cheap for RM160.

is it 15/60/195 tires?

don't mind telling here which shop is offering that price for the hankook?
*
it is in Melaka, Soon Seng tyre 06-3356999. I am not yet change the tyres. Read some few comments in other thread that the performance is not so good. btw, I am using 195/55/r15 size.
