Hi, to be honest I didn't feel much difference in the fuel saving..if there is also is negligible

In terms of sound also I didn't feel much.
Maybe I'm numb to the noise.
Don't think it's worth the upgrade.

Since I still servicing in proton and their fully synthetic is now 10w30( syntium 3000 see)
guess I'll stick with it. It's around 220.
Petronas station is selling at 10w40 syntium 3000 I saw around 240

i think they quoted you with the semi synthetic ones

Yea is kinda expensive.
For now im travelling quite frequently and 70% of my milleage is claimable.
so can cover still.
once i travel less (maybe change of job)
and not claimable ill settle to semi synthetic

Tesco oil is quite cheap.
Tesco's shell full synthetic is <100
Not sure if its genuine or not.

So far on my P.E

1.gear slip while steering is turning and u acceleration suddenly. (Proton sc solved for me)

2.outside smoke/odour enter cabin easily (sent to proton sc)

3.rear seat unable to attach back after i recline it, sc adjust the latch but still need to push very very hard to attach it (happen 1st week after collect car) / left side rear passenger door need close very hard else the door will bounce back (unable to solve until today)

4.gearbox jerk when accelerate (change gear oil)

5.iafm+ intake manifold tuk tuk sound, 1st time under warranty so they replace the whole thing, 2nd time warranty expired so send outside to repair, damaged Rm280 in Kuching.

6.aircond control knob spoiled (always on full blower), repair for Rm80

And normal wear and tear don't need mention. Service every 5k with semi sync.. 7 years and change 1 set of absorber mounting, engine mounting, radiator tank, 1 set spark plug and thats all... for my surprise absorber not yet fail until now.. haha..

They adjust both side, the latch and the lock at the door side.. but unable to solve it, just not as bad as when collect the car.. still if kids using the back door they will have hard time to close it tight.

Oh ya.. my headlight also gt plastic melt stain if turn on light for too long.. they have replaced 2 sets for me within warranty period.. now using the 2nd replacement and yes, it got stain inside too, but dont care anymore since warranty expired.

Btw, wanted to buy carbon type cabin air filter but doesn't seems anywhere got sell it.. mine is Patco type.. anyone tried/bought carbon type cabin air filter before?

I send to SC to fix last year under warranty. This year happen again.

I opened the trim and found out that the adhersive doesn't stick to the plastic sheet anymore.

Where can I fix this? Accessory shop?

yea my butt dyno says 5W30 is better in acceleration.. but i think its a bit louder around 2k rpm onwards.. nonetheless still noisy on 10w40.. 

the manual says 20W50 

any brand suggestion ?
