is it normal, the radiator fan still running (to dissipate maybe extra heat) after ignition is off and why the coolant level at radiator keep decreasing especially I on long distant drive. Is it normal?
How frequent I need to top up the coolant? Is it normal if I need to top up every once a week
FYI my auto PE is 8 years old

It's a sign of the radiator having issues. Happened to me before and the car ended up overheating due to clogged radiator, better get everything checked from the fan / hoses to the radiator itself.

By the way, my persona's steering felt really tight and heavy to turn especially when it is almost turned to the max left or right. The power steering oil tank is full and no leakage at the hoses nearby at all since I had them replaced a few months ago. Is it something to do with steering rack / power steering pump?

Also the steering is not centered, I have to turn it a few degrees to the right in order for the car to track straight but that steering doesn't vibrate or shake during higher speed, how to fix it?

I'm from selayang / kepong area and anyone has recommended workshop / foreman to go to?

Have you done tyre alignment and balancing for the problem?
*
alignment of the car seems fine as the tyres wear quite evenly and the steering don't vibrate much as high speed, it is just that the steering is skewed to the left and not straight.

anyone knows what noise is this?

it is coming from the driver side of the engine (nearby to the alternator), went for a quick check at nearby workshop and they suspect it is some pulley/ bearing that is worn out.

If you have done your alignment and balancing, and steering still skewing, perhaps you can check on the power steering bush, this is persona common problem. Otherwise do check your front suspension mounting, might rosak already.

Both of these happened to my persona before.

okay thanks a lot i will get it checked as soon as possible.

sounds like the IAFM to me.
*
shouldn't be, my intake is already converted to IAFM-less. the workshop tried spraying water at the few pulleys nearby the alternator and the sound kinda got away but came back as soon as the water dries out.

by the way, anyone here has any recommended workshop? i haven't been in KL for a long time so i don't know any reputable shop sad.gif

How's the review of IAFM-less intake from you? Does it comes with big difference?
*
to be honest i don't feel much difference as my driving style is quite chill and i always aim for best fc, but i would say maybe even slightly smoother power? but my opinion is invalid because the iafm is broken since the first day i got the car.

main difference is i don't have listen to the annoying 'tak tak tak' sound.

I see.. At least there is a way of maintaining the same spectrum of fuel consumption after changing to non-IAFM intake. Thanks a lot!

what are the average fc that u get? my persona with around 50 city 50 highway averages 8-9L/100km (as shown on the meter). pure highway can get around 6+-L/100km.
