those bawah pokok u need to find those with enough knowledge. Sc price too expensive , i mean if u don't mind spend more actually it's ok one. But I don't feel like paying them such pricing.

Even I trust my foreman to have the skills, but things like engine oil , it's quite a complicated thing, maybe even the foreman doesn't know the oil is genuine or not. Or maybe he wants to earn more, we don't know. When I brought my own oil, he said Tesco selling fakes, cuz of the low pricing. His oil supplier told him how can Tesco sell so cheap. So I think the fact is that the supplier cheated him, how can Tesco sell fakes? People will sue them.

Tesco buy in bulk and i think they import their own oil so skip middle man etc.

Anyway now got Tesco sale for engine oil?

Scotts Garden closed so i can't check.

hi, there is 1 brand state 22/18, another 21/19, so i'm confused why one brand is larger on 1 side but smaller on the other.

I will go against those fully syn Shell Helix in Tesco! Last month I saw they had a promo on full syn Helix at RM12x. I thought that's a great price and I took one bottle. When I arrived at the counter, I noticed there was oil residue at the bottom of the bottle...so I went back to the shelf to inspect others. I noticed all the Shell Helix there were not sealed! Some are sealed by cellophone tape! I suspect they are not original at all. All the bottles had oil residue like it's manually poured in by human instead of machine.
*
i dunno, i think mine was not Ultra, just the greenish blue box. sometimes i also notice oil leak on shelf. not sure whether the cap has water bottle type that breaks once open.

i think it's possible tesco bought Oil in Bulk like big containers then package themselves. maybe you can email Tesco UK for clarifications?

No idea, haven't start using yet. Currently on shell helix 7 10w40, quiet engine, car feels lighter. My previous oil repsol 5w30 , engine was noisier and rougher. I'm not sure it's because of the different viscosity.

more to do with semi-synthetic/mineral/fully synthetic.

just changed to Castrol Mangatec 10-40W from Tesco rm89.90.

I think might be better than Shell Helux 7. Engine sounds quieter but might be Placebo effect because last i change oil was 1 year ago (mileage still low though...).

btw anyone know Proton or Spare Part shops got sell that Bolt used on the Camber? mine got swapped out by the tyre shop with Camber Bolt i want to buy back the original non-adjustable Bolt.

since i don't know he replaced the upper or lower bolt, may i know if it is using the same Bolt for both Upper & Lower or different?

also may i know the price and what official part name do you call that bolt? if have exact part number or size would be better.

thanks.

Last but no least anyone tested out their braking ability?

Mind share how long it takes to slow down to zero from a few speed points? Also do share the type of tyre, brake pad & whether engine braking was used (lower gear).

I only managed to go until 80km/h, brake fully depressed all the way, no engine braking, took around 5-7seconds on a 15" PS3. Next time i might use a stop watch for better timing. Did not manage to lock the wheels. but rubber smells i wonder how many full braking can this tyre withstand?

i know it's more accurate to measure braking distance but i think timing is more useful.

Although mileage is low. It is advisable to change after half year. Oil do decompose over time
My front also swapped. Not good meh adjustable? Non adjustable ones cannot do proper balancing no?
I also not very clear about this stuff.

hi, all i know is if your car don't need Camber Bolts, don't change it. Because Camber is hard to run off with the original Bolt, with adjustable it will slip over time because it's designed to be adjustable. And most of the Camber Bolts sold by tyre shops are low quality, meaning they don't last long, someone claimed after 2 alignment you need to change the Bolts again (maybe you can tell me true or not). But 1 thing for sure you will need to do alignment more often compared to original Bolts assuming you don't hit potholes or run over speedbumps.

only time you need Camber Bolt is if you lowered your car to a point you need them to make further adjustments, or you ran over a big pothole or speed humps and your camber totally ran off, or accident. but if you can buy a high quality Camber Bolt it should be good, thing is tyre shop will give you low grade ones because they know they won't last and a year or 2 later they can sell you another set of Bolts.

mine was rm45 per piece, rm25 to adjust the bolts, that is rm115 just for the Bolts. my car did not have serious alignment issues (car never swerved. steering never vibrates), so i'm angry about it. because i know it will not be the same with these adjustables and i will run into alignment issues for sure.

so i'm asking where can i buy OEM Bolts so i can put it back on my car and whether it's same size for Upper & Lower bolt? and how much they cost. I know the Tyre Camber Bolts only rm5, can get high grade for rm11, and i know for sure they charge me rm45 surely it's the low grade ones. it's not about money, it's about the problem i will face with these bolts in the future.

How is PS3? How much u get it? Was thinking of PS3 or xm2 . PS3 is 195/55/15? Supposedly not as comfortable as xm2. My original is 195/60/15? Sorry if my figures abit off
*
It's pretty good. I got it mainly for the wet road ability. PS3 is rather soft, i already have chunking on the side of the front tyres around 10k km, tyre is 3 years old though. the rear is ok so i rotated it out, this is when i got my Bolt swapped out...

PS3 only has 195/55/15, it's thinner so your speedometer & mileage will be running few % more (around 5% i think) due to smaller diameter.

I got real expensive last time 4 for around rm1.1k including balancing & 4 wheel alignment. XM2 price is only slightly cheaper so i think it's not worth it but the shop trying to push me to get XM2 i guess the profit margin is higher.

I don't really care about comfort & noise but PS3 has the balance between performance & comfort, it is noisier than XM2 but people say Michelin comfort tyres will become noisy after certain mileage. Fuel Efficiency definitely better for XM2 since PS3 has alot of grip which means more work on engine to push the car. Thinner tyre also means less shock absorption but it's not a bumpy ride on stock suspensions, just go slower on the humps.

up to you, if fuel economy & comfort is your choice, go XM2, but i would advise other brands for Eco tyres. Michelin is good if you want good wet road ability.

Some folks saying more worth buying PS4S. they say price around same as PS3 but more superior? but don't have 15".

mine got swapped out too.. the worst thing is they insists only changing 1 side.. now my camber settings of 2 wheels is not balanced.. luckily i still have my original bolt.. what im not sure is if the original bolt will bolt back in together with the original settings or have to align again...  hmm.gif
*
the wheel not balance is because the low quality Camber Bolt they sold you, most likely ran off from it's original setting/position, so need to loosen, push back in, tighten again. however since you say not balanced, maybe need to readjust again. when was last time you did alignment? worse case is go to sparepart shop and buy high quality Camber Bolts, ask tyre shop to adjust, go to reputable tyre shops.

at least you still got your original.

Lol are you sure better? I'm using shell helix 10w40, it's much better than my previous repsol 5w30.

My castrol magnatec is sitting in my house waiting me to utilize it for the next oil change.

what i think is, Proton engine is not as smooth as other higher end cars, thus you should use higher viscosity oil aka thicker oil. same reason why old cars should use thicker oil, not just to reduce oil leaks but also extra protection.

Next time u try using W30 viscosity , and tell me how it feels haha. One thing, seems like with w40, petrol consumption is slightly higher , even though the engine feels more responsive and quiet, strange thing. Maybe it's just a feeling.
*
hi, why i want to use low viscosity oil when i already said Proton needs higher viscosity to run smooth?

Petrol of course higher as the oil has more restriction thus more work for engine to overcome the higher viscosity, but you get smoother engine because the thicker oil gives better protection & lubrication.

if you drive sports car or cars with high tech like Ferrari, Lexus, Merc, BMW, or even VW & Polo which has high engine efficiency you would want low viscosity oil because their finishing is much better than Proton. Rough engine, needs thicker oil.

Try this if wanna save fuel tongue.gif

i don't know, either the fella have not change oil for many years, or used some heavy duty truck engine oil prior.

because from 2.5k rpm to 2k rpm, is at least 10% improvement in efficiency. and not using low viscosity oil somemore.

maybe a way to promote their engine oil brand haha.

also what is the part or model number for the Radiator Drain Plug. thinking of getting 1 spare. how much it cost?
