Features:
* Unique upper and lower chamber structure The power supply resides in a separate chamber to isolate heat from the system and lower system noise * Innovative three-layer side panels and front door (aluminum, plastic, aluminum) dampen system noise, making this one of the quietest cases available * Cooling System: - 1 rear (standard) 120mm TriCool(tm) Fan with 3-speed switch control - 1 top (standard) 120mm TriCool(tm) Fan - 1 lower chamber (standard) 120mm TriCool(tm) Fan - 1 front (optional) 120mm fan - 1 middle (optional) 120mm fan to cool graphics cards - Upper drive cage can be used as a duct to provide fresh air to graphics cards * Maximum expandability with 11 Drive Bays - External 4 x 5.25"; 1 x 3.5" - Internal 6 x 3.5" for HDD * Motherboard: Fits micro and standard ATX * Double hinge front door designed to open up to 270º * 7 Expansion Slots * Front Ports - 2 x USB 2.0 - 1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire(R), i.Link(R)) - Audio In and Out * Material: 0.8mm cold rolled steel for durability through the majority of chassis, 1.0mm cold rolled steel around the 4x HDD area * To optimize performance of your P180 the choice of your power supply is crucial. Antec strongly recommends choosing from our Phantom, NeoHE or TruePower series * Silicone grommets in the hard drive cages absorb vibrations and reduce noise * Built in washable air-filter * Dimensions: 54cm (H) x 20.5cm (W) x 50.7cm (D) 21.3"(H) x 8.1"(W) x 19.9"(D) Taken from antec's website. That explains everything. |

P180 is very nice casing.. although the design is simple but i love it.. It cost around RM400 if not mistaken. It's also called the silent casing. It's so simple u can mod it and it'll look nice~

QUOTE(shinnosuke @ Dec 7 2006, 10:44 AM) Which part is steel, which part is plastic, which part is aluminium?Nevertheless, a super expensive casing like that uses SECC as it's main material, that sucks!!! A super expensive case like that should have use 100% aluminium, like ah-lian casing... And it's a super crampy casing too... I wouldn't buy it if i were you... Just my opinion, no flames flames aa.. If you flame, then that means you didn't understand the concept of "opinions" |

QUOTE(shinnosuke @ Dec 7 2006, 10:44 AM) Steel (chassis) + Plastic (doors and all) + Aluminum ( decoration glued to the door) QUOTE(rayfoo @ Dec 7 2006, 10:45 AM) Well.. that depends. I think it's a great case for a silent low powered low key system Personally I wouldn't get it for a performance rig 1st Pic - Superb cable management but this guy is only using a single HDD and no bling bling like the rest of you guys here. Even this setup also the tower heatsink blocks up the exhaust di. If he puts in HDD onto the upper compartment.. kantoi di. A 8800GTX probably won't fit also. 2nd pic - When add more HDD --> cacing environment. This post has been edited by sniper on the roof: Dec 7 2006, 11:33 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

for the case, the only way for good cable management is to drill holes...other than that, i dun see any other reason how to fix it...
just wanna ask...is this casing full alu or wat?? cause the weight of it is This post has been edited by sidewinderz: Dec 7 2006, 01:23 PM |

Eh... V1000 different lar... there's a lot more space especially width. A LOT more open. And that the 5" bay area is empty and with space on both sides of the area to hide cables. That's the beauty of lian li's...they have a lot more mod potential. P180 on the other hand has separate cages hence the wires cannot go through...especially that fan thingy between the lower HDD bay and the psu. The 5" bays width's pulak is all the way until the very edge of the side panel. Not to say cannot lar... but if really want to cantik cantik do the airflow and cable management then have to use minimal spec...no oversized heatsinks, no extra long VGA's or multi cards, remove one HDD rack, use only 1 ODD. Let's not even go to watercooling potential. |

I think the P180 is a lil too cramped, I'd prefer a LL V1000 onwards or so. If you're running a really simple setup, then the P180 is a good choice.

The interior is a dream..it's convenient....it's practical..excellant cooling.... it's everything except that it's got that plastic front (which imo looks alright) that doesn't have that Ooomph that you get with a Lian Li. When I had my old PC-6077...even when 8cm fans got outdated and the design began to look like crap but everytime I caress and feel it's smooth cold brushed aluminum body...it just feels "special". U mean interior design ? I think only p180 is like that , others u can consider is Antec Solo/150 , both are the same , 150 comes with psu while solo don't
Currently very happy with the case |

Hi,
I'm using the Antec Super LANBoy and no doubt it's a very good casing for me. Bsides the front plastic, the rest of it is just awesome. Really live up to the "Quiet Computing" theme for it, much quieter than my other Gigabyte Poseidon. Add me to the House of ANTEC. Thank you hotdog. |

QUOTE(Sony Trinitron @ Jun 8 2007, 04:19 PM) Anyone using P180B? Is the interior black as well? Only the the special edition. I don't think it really matters though, unless you want your case open.Added on June 8, 2007, 4:19 pmAnyone using P180B? Is the interior black as well? http://www.iosn.net/Members/kaeru/blog/home-server-part-2 It runs cool and quiet, and I'm happy with it. I just ran continuous compilations on it on a few virtual servers last night (still running). It was fine with all internal fans set to low, with 4 drives and an amd64x2 65W and at room temperature (no aircon, no external fan). Now I gotta replace my cheap wall clock, cause I can hear it tick. |

Hmmm about the silentest case.... yea it is only when u didnt add any others fan in or u added in a really silent fan.. i got my VGA twin turbo... the dual fans is really noisy .... when the cover closed, still able hear the noise.... The main problem for Antec P180B is ... Cable Management .... is darm hard ..... |

Got picture of the PSU you plan to use? Removing the fan opens up a fair bit of space really.
Also, the bottom fan is pretty useless and is noisier than the other fans at the top chamber of the case. So its better to remove it and have more space for cables. This post has been edited by Burn-X: Apr 23 2009, 10:38 PM |

P183 unboxing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JCtk8PRYYo Can't wait for his review. P183 is a much better case than the P182 in my opinion. Especially now you can close the front door without impacting airflow. |

Video review for P183:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7boDF3S1PJ4 He doesn't compare the differences with the P182. Listed below are the differences: 1. Bottom middle fan is moved to the the front 2. Air intake vents on front door 3. Side bezels and grill covers are more open for better air flow 4. Top fan vent adopts the Mini P180 design Overall, seeing how much the P183 is priced, it isn't worth it. A lot of these changes can be made through modding. |

Want to share with you Antec fans something pretty amazing.
On the Dec 2008, I e-mailed Antec for replacement side panels for my P182. I tried to add some acoustic padding which really screwed up the panels. I could no longer nicely fit them on the case and removing the padding resulted in scratches on the mirror finish. My bad I guess. Anyway, Antec replied with their supplier contact in Singapore and asked me to arrange to get the replacement from them. The company is called T328.Com Pte Ltd. Initially they didn't carry it in their inventory and I had to wait a month for them to get back to me again. They said they had it in their HK inventory and after some delay again, sent me the picture of it. They even said I didn't need to pay anything for it! Nothing for the panels and nothing for the shipping! Sadly it wasn't the panels for the P182 and I pointed that out. They said they will double check again, but I felt that was pretty much it and they won't be able to get me the side panels after all. Another month or so later, they replied me saying that they did have the correct side panels and was in the process of shipping them to me. Today I received the panels in a big box. Packaging could've been better, but I'm not complaining. I got them for FREE and so happy I have nice side panels again. Thank you Antec and T328.Com Pte Ltd! A lot of people might believe good service and RMA might exist only in Western countries, but you guys really impress me with your customer service and communication. I've been a big fan of Antec cases, but now I'm a loyal customer |

QUOTE(hamlau @ May 11 2009, 11:17 PM) Antec 1200 is not noisy at all surprisingly i was able to switch it on the whole day and it didnt break a sweat at all as inside is cooler than outside Thats great! For me I had to replace the stock fans on the P182. I found them noisy even on Low.Antec 1200 FTW !!!!! Amazing that your interior is cooler than the outside temperature. lol here is some of my new update for my antec 1200 , i decided to design the side panel exactly like tjharlow done to his antec 1200 , i make the sidepanel to be transparent , and add some uv light to lighten up my motherboard , i think this design is neat and nice as i like to look into my desktop very often , , the side of the sidepanel is mounted with a rubber edge protector and was heated for it to stick to the side of the sidepanel

me uses antec DF-35, which is quite happy with the front 2x 120mm intake fan and low noise of rear and top fan even in high speed mode...
just dun really like the psu position upwards...fighting for cold air with my gpu...just dun like the mobo cut out part on the back, doesnt really suit.... |
