Dear Sifus,

Need your advice on helping me to choose my new daily driver.

I am currently using a note 10 plus, and recently I sold off my secondary phone as i got a good offer for it, hence I will be repurposing my current note 10 plus as my new secondary phone once I get a new daily driver.

Thus, I am on the look for a new phone to try out. Wanted to get the note 20, but am seriously turned off by Exynos for the asking price , hence now am considering other options.

Below is my requirements

1. Brand - Any brand, but would like to skip Samsung for 2020 as I already have one on hand.

2. Budget - 4.5k but expandable if it is worth it.

3. Specs - Want to try a snapdragon device with at least 90hz display as I do game ocassionally for COD and Pubg. Not particular on resolution, at least FHD will do regardless of OLED or LCD. Camera wise , I don't really need pro kind of level, as I am a simple point and shoot kind of person. Standard internal memory of 256gb and 8gb, a battery capacity of 4000mah with decent fast charging and good speakers for my daily dose of streaming.

4. Type/Size. - Screen size of 6inch and above and am okay with Bezels.

Please do share what are the best options I can get with the above details. Am not in a rush to buy also, and can wait a month or two to buy if there are better models coming out soon.

Thanks in advance

Hello sifus,

Need recommendation for new phone. Currently I'm using Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, I think was 3 or 4 years old already. Now is the right time to upgrade. So, I need suggestion.

Brand: Any

Budget: <1.6k

Specs: 8GB RAM, at least 128 GB storage. Very good camera, megapixel didn't really matters right? But I need a phone that capture a realistic looking photo. I'll be mainly use my phone for works and daily use. So, need the GMS.

Type: Any

Currently I'm torn between Nova 5t and Galaxy A71, but can also suggest for any other phones. Actually wanted to go fot the xperia 10 ii, but reluctant due to the RAM and processor. So, any suggestion?

Thanks,
Bill

base on personal experience

honor phones is jz only ok-ish
the signal reception ability slowly get worse the longer time u use it
battery degrade over 40% in 2 years time
display screen start to show problem around 1 year 3 months
sound of loud speaker also slowly getting softer over time

Any brand except huawei no play store.

Game mainly for PUBG and PES.
Ram/storage with 6/128 or 8/128 is enough.
Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion mate, had the same thought to wait and see the 8T pro as well.....hopefully it will be affordable. After looking at overall UI, am more keen to try oxygen Os, as Miui and Color os looks quite heavily skinned with poor support updates compared to Oxygen OS.

Can anyone recommend me good or decent android phone to play call of duty mobile and other games smoothly. Budget about 500 to 700. Big screen if possible.

No huawei, Huawei is out since it does not support Google services already. Please dont recommend me any phone that does not support google services, account.

My huawei mate 10 before the google barred was lagging nowdays, cant play smoothly and i always rage quit becoz of that, back cover, screen crack dy... And can't eject sim tray. Repair usb c charging port 2 times this 3 months dy since mco. sweat.gif

And i realize that now my huawei is probably the last few batch before google barred. Maybe will keep the phone and use temporary new phone.

. 500 - 700 andriod phone, cheaper the better in terms of able to play codm smoothly and decently
. big screen 6 inch plus
. 4 gb ram or more if possible(or is it 2 gb ram sufficient?)
. no phone that does not support Google apps or cant login
. can run Call of duty mobile smoothly

True, OnePlus phones get 3 years of OS upgrades. I prefer One UI haha, although it is heavy but it is clean and packed with tons of features. biggrin.gif

I think you can look at Redmi Note 9s. Around your budget, this might be the best in term of gaming performance.

Dear Sifus,

Need your thoughts or suggestion for a new work phone.
Currently using Nokia 7 plus.

1. Brand: No preference
2. Budget: 1500~1800
3. Specs: decent mid range+, similar or better than Nokia 7 plus.
4. Type/Size: display >5.7"

Others:
Prefer regular s/w updates for another 2 years
Less bloatware
Needs to be able to support GMS out of box... so Huawei is out.
Not another Samsung, since daily driver is a Galaxy Note.

Some thoughts on 'top' choices for now.
- iPhone SE 2020 - i feel it's just too small and a bit over budget.
- One Plus Nord - from what I read so far - doesn't live up to hype? is it worth it?
(Note: I had the One Plus One)
- Pocophone F2 - surprised that it doesn't come with memory card support. Also - seems like it is bloatware loaded?

I just don't haven't found something that is compelling to try...
or gives a 'different' experience (tried Android One, One UI, MIUI, Cyanogen Mod, ZenUI etc).

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. notworthy.gif
