Hi

Want to ask is it worth to buy Xperia X (3GB RAM/64GB storage)
Original price RM2499, now rebate RM300 plus my Treatpoint value of RM400, so final price RM1799 (will buy at Sony Centre as they accept Treatpoint)

any other options at similar price (rm1.8k and below)

requirement: good camera, good battery life, size not more than 6inch >32GB storage, good GPS

or should i spend my treatpoint in senq/senheng and buy other phone?
*
If you can get the Xperia X for RM 1799, it's acceptable. But it's still expensive for what it's offering (eg. Snapdragon 650 processor) especially when you can pay a bit more for a better one.

I would recommend you to get the OnePlus 3 for RM 1888.

I would say the Lenovo K5 is better than the bunch because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, decent battery life and lots more to justify the price tag. P1m doesn't justify the price unless you really don't do anything intensive. S1 Lite should be okay.

Thanks for your feedback bro .. Really appreciate it ..  notworthy.gif

Just to add a bit icing on top of the cake...

Vibe P1m is seriously underpowered, don't even think about playing games on it cuz it will lag annoyingly even for casual games like Crossy Road and Pokemon Go. It's basically a phone for very easy tasks.

So yeah, get the Vibe K5.

Between these 3, which is the best value-for-money? Thanks.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 would be the best among these 3, it's better in terms of performance, battery life and specs. Hence, it's the cheapest among them. It's definitely the bang for the buck.

Looking to get a smartphone for my dad.

1. Brand: Any
2. Budget: Below RM700
3. Specs: Good battery.
4. Type/Size: 5" n below(just not too big)

Used mostly for whatsapp, normal web surfing and watching videos.
I was looking thru and found Jitterbug, is it avail in Malaysia?
Looking for a sturdy phone as the phone is not always handled with care. And also easy to use. Currently using old ip4.

Lenovo Vibe K5
Wiko UFeel Lite

If u don't mind about the 5.5" screen, just go with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB).

I've been using my Samsung Note 2 for 4 or 5 years but it's getting laggy so I want to replace it.

Brand: any android
Budget: I'd like to spend less than 1k but I can spend more if it's worth it
Specs: Good camera, long battery life, no lag
Type/Size: 5" or 5.5"

I use my phone for work, surfing the Internet,  whatsapp and youtube. I'm hoping to get something I can use for a long time (another 4 or 5 years).

Spending less than 1k, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB) would be the bang for the buck. Battery life is good, just that the camera is just average.

If you could go beyond 1k, then go for...
Samsung Galaxy A5 2016
Lenovo Vibe X3

*
Huawei high end phones are known to have strong signal receptions, and that goes to Huawei P9 and Mate 8.

Have been using the Galaxy A8, it got water damaged and need to find a replacement. I have gotten very used to its light weight and slim feeling. If you can help with some recommendations, fine otherwise looks like I will get another A8
*
Xiaomi Mi Note is the only alternative with 5.7" screen in that price range.

Or else just get another A8.

Anyone know when ZTE Axon 7 can be bought locally?
*
Probably starting from September 1st?

At least that's what they're hinting on their Facebook post.

And some even said the 6GB RAM variant will cost RM 2699 so I hope that's not the only variant that they will launch here.

between

Sony Xperia X (64GB) RM2199
Huawei P9 (32GB) RM2099
Huawei Mate 8 (32GB) RM2099

which one better and can last maybe 3-4 yrs?
no gaming involve. mainly productivity/work, whatsapp/telegram/fb/twitter, good camera, good battery, good gps

thanks
*
Sony Xperia X is straight away out of the list, it's not worth it. Hence, the battery life isn't that good either.

Between the Huawei P9 and Mate 8, I would recommend the P9. The battery life is good enough, the camera is good, no problem with GPS.

Unless you're a heavy user that needs very long endurance, Mate 8 is the one to go. Just that the camera won't be as good as the P9.

between Huawei G8 (32GB- rm1399) and Honor 7 Enhanced (32GB- rm1499)
same requirement as above. which one better?
*
Huawei G8 is more superior in terms of camera and battery life, and GPS is still fine.

So yeah, G8 is better.

Should I consider Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+

Cheaper than s7

Better spec than A9
*
Sure, if you're fine with non-expandable storage and the price.

Hence, the build quality is quite fragile though, especially on the screen part. Once the screen cracks, you're gonna have to pay for ridiculously expensive repair fee though. Keep that in mind if you wanna go for it.

It's got the looks, but not the toughness of the Lumia 1520. biggrin.gif

Don't get the LG G5, the battery life is mediocre. Especially when you use it to play Pokemon Go.

1. Brand - any reputable
2. Budget - below 2.5k
3. Specs - good camera with optical stabilisation(whatever they call it)
4. Type/Size - around 5 inches

It's for mum's coming bday. She uses basic app like Whatsapp, FB, messenger, camera, stock market, notes, calendar alarm, etc

Preferably
- user friendly interface(not much updates and pop-ups that asks her questions yes or no)
- optical stabilisation for camera as she got shaky hands
- words are easy to red
- camera easy to use with not much setting needed
