1. Brand - Any android phone.
2. Budget - Below RM1K.
3. Specs - No mediatek chip, either very good battery life (previous phone was Lenovo P780 and P70) or good quick charge function. Prefer 3GB RAM (2GB RAM also acceptable if proven to be sufficient). Reliable GPS. . Other stuff (camera, gaming, etc) not important.
4. Type/Size - Any screen size as long as dimension of phone is less than 15cm in length

mind tell me which phone is the best IYO?

Since you're opting for good battery life, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 is a beast in endurance.

But if I were to choose, I would go for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (32GB) because it's the bang for the buck, the specs are generous for the price which the Galaxy J7 2016 can't even come close. The Galaxy J7 2016 wins in terms of battery life and camera, but Redmi Note 3 wins in most aspects. Not saying that the battery life and camera are bad on the Redmi Note 3, battery life is still good but the camera is average.

No games
good battery life. reliable (tahan lama for ~3yrs usage)

senq offer
huawei honor 5x 16gb rm799 (ori price rm939)
huawei honor 7 enhanced 32gb rm1299 (ori price rm1499)
huawei mate 8 32gb rm1899 (ori price rm2099)
huawei g8 32gb rm1499

which one above value for money?

is adoptable storage works in huawei? all ready said problems.
any other option apart from above huaweis?
want to replace my iphone5 32gb (3yrs old already)
*
If your budget can go up to almost RM 2k, then of course you should go for the Mate 8. It has great battery life, suitable for work, and has a decent camera (I suggest you to test it out yourself to see whether it satisfies you).

As for adoptable storage, it can be enabled but you'll have to go through some procedures to enable it.

hi there .. need some help here .. i'm looking for a budget 4g lte phone below RM500 with 2gb ram and 16gb storage .. i saw lazada offering RM399 for Meizu M1 note .. need some advice about this phone or any reccomendation for other phones .. tq
*
Meizu M1 Note is well worth it especially with it's recent reduced price, but I would advise you to get the 32GB variant (RM 499), because it doesn't have micro SD card slot to expand the storage so if you go for 16GB you would be left with insufficient amount of storage. Just a reminder, please make sure that the phone is stated "Sold & Fulfilled by Meizu Malaysia" or "Lazada".

As for alternatives, I would also recommend the ZTE Blade V7 Lite which is selling for RM 499 in Lazada.

Hi,

Please suggest me the cheapest Smartphone or Tablet that can can support Desktop Full Web Browser, not mobile browser version, i.e. desktop version of Firefox.

Any OS is fine, no name OS also fine.

Need something lightweight to access full web version of some websites. (many features are not working in mobile version -too watered down). "Request Desktop site" feature is useless for some websites that I need to access.

Other specs like camera not important.

I already have a laptop and netbook but they are too bulky to be on-the-go, i.e. in the car, going outside, walking on the road etc.

Thanks!
*
Get a Windows 10 tablet, that's the only OS that supports desktop browser.

Yes, the price and specs. It's not worth it.

Unless you really like Sony or the phone really attracts you, can't argue with that.

I think Sony is trying to go premium with its image just like its other products biggrin.gif , since no more with Ericsson now.

It's not gonna help lol, Sony just doesn't have the prestige anymore like they did back in the days.

1. Brand.
- All. but preferably not obscure brand like gionee or LeEco

2. Budget.
- RM1k and below

3. Specs.
- Min 2gb ram, preferably 3gb.
- internal min 16gb, preferable with expandable storage

4. Type/Size.
- 5" and below

5. Notes
- Buying for my mum. Gaming is not a priority.
- Reliability is a must. Preferably with the less buggy UI and good updates
- Good to excellent battery life

So far, best I can find is Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.
But it's not officially launched in M'sia yet.
While DirectD sells it and says it's Global Rom, I believe it's tampered vendor rom.
*
LOL...Gionee and LeEco is not even available in our market yet.

I would recommend...

seller GRTRONIC

There won't be aftersales service from the manufacturer if you buy the imported set. That is, you can't claim warranty from the manufacturer itself, which would suck.
*
Plus, imported sets are mostly running on Chinese version MIUI, which means there will be many useless Chinese apps and app incompatibility if unlucky.

Unless you don't mind about the hassle of flashing to the global version.

Maybe so, but you could buy better phones like Lenovo Vibe K5 or Alcatel Flash Plus 2 for about RM 100 more. And also that you can buy phones with similar specs at a price equal or less than the Heat 7.
*
Brands like Ding Ding will just sell their phones at an insanely low price with too good to be true specs (so-called quad core, so-called 13MP camera etc.) which will end up like crap.

And of course, no updates. Once your phone has bugs, unstable software, random issues etc. You're most likely doomed. Many people are complaining about the GPS issue on their Facebook page.

That ain't a beast, it's just a crap phone in disguise.
