Im looking a phone to replace my gf's Redmi Note. (before this she is using galaxy note 2). Through her experiences with her previous 2 phones, I will like to get her a phone that is:
1.
OS/ Softwares that is not buggy. The phone has to work by itself, well-optimized from stock. Do not expect her to root the phone, and goes into advance setting to do some engineering works in order for the phone to work for her. She likes her galaxy note 2, but the phone glitchy UI soon become laggy to use. When I bought her the Redmi Note... a lot of time she is so frustrated with the phone. When in urgent situation, handphone hanged, whatsapp camera not responding... and with 8gb of internal storage, it is never possible to download additional apps.
2.
32GB to 64GB internal storage I think the reason her redmi note is so buggy is because of the limited internal storage. So... a bigger storage is a must
3.
Big 5.5" full HD screen. Both her previous 2 phones only comes with 720p, So i think 1080p has to be the minimum for the new phone.
4.
Good battery life. Both her phone has pretty big battery ... so the new phone has to be at least as big.
5.
Good selfie camera. She is currently looking at the "Oppo Selfie Expert", and i think the best spec for her will be at least the Oppo F1 Plus. But I am looking at other alternative options, as I am not very convince with the Selfie hype... (ladies out there, pls share your experience) And I am worry the Oppo color OS can be as buggy as MIUI. Personally I thought of Oneplus3, as I am oneplus1 user myself, and I think the almost-close-to-stock android is the most stable one to use. But personally I don't like the camera quality of my oneplus.
Currently im having OPPO F1 plus vs OnePlus3. But I will like to hear other suggestion. And for Oppo F1 user, can share if it is worth calling it "selfie expert" and worth the buy? Thanks.
Tbh, OnePlus 3 is the most reliable one of the bunch. The software is simple but yet provides good end results, and that's where OnePlus is good at. If software is a big concern to you, then go for the OnePlus 3. Just remember to update the phone when there's a software update, cause it will fix bugs and issues that are present in the software (if there's any). For the camera, most reviewers have rated it's camera up to par with the competition, and won't be lacking behind in terms of selfies.
As for Oppo's so-called "Selfie Expert" F1 Plus, the price is too steep for what it's offering especially when you can get the OnePlus 3 at similar price but with better specs and performance. But if we're not talking about price here, the F1 Plus gets a tick in your requirements except the software, cause Oppo's Color OS can be buggy at times (based on what I've seen on my relative's R7 Lite) although not as buggy as MIUI. So basically, Color OS is not that reliable.
