I use TM's Unifi 30Mbps and I use a router/modem supplied by TM (As shown below), at my apartment

but because my laptop is far from the router TM, my internet is slow and sometimes none at all.
Please refer image below to get a clear picture.

The highest internet speed that I can get from my room is 5 mbps but even then rarely and sometimes if everyone in my family use their laptop (5 people inclu me) I can only get 1 mbps and sometimes can't get at all.

So, I want to ask what is the good/best router for speed up my internet speed in my room (budget RM500-RM800?)
and is there any other option to make to speed my internet connection ( other than changing router)?

Thank You

If that so, I've heard people talk about that model a lot & already check that, but too expensive RM1000++, my budget is under RM800, Unless you can recommend any shop that can sell at it little cheaper price.

Update
do this model are the same because both have different price....One sold as RM1000++ and other RM800++?
- Asus RT-AC68U Dual-band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit Router
- Asus DSL-AC68U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit ADSL/VDSL Modem Router

which one did you use?? I think I might consider to buy it

RT-AC68U - For UniFi/Maxis Fibre / Time
DSL-AC68U - For Streamyx only

There are a few sellers in lelong that sells RT-AC68U for RM800++ (Below RM900)
Better grab them fast, before Ringgit Malaysia falls even further

Been using RT-AC68U for nearly 2 years now, running steady unlike the piece of crap TP-Link TL-WR1043ND & TL-WDR4300

Don't ever fall for TP-Link prices
Their products are cheap because they are cheap
Tengok TP-Link punya firmware pun sudah mau muntah
Sometimes I feel like kicking TP-Link firmware developers in the nuts

Lol, don't know. I have to depend on my luck then tongue.gif

What about RT-AC3200 & RT-AC87U?
I mean is it worth it to buy either of this two? And also, is there any major difference between RT-AC3200 , RT-AC87U & RT-AC68U?

which one is better for 5 users?

For 5 users, AC68U should be more than enough
My family has 3 AC68U

My brother has 1
My father has 1
I have 1
*We all live in different houses

My father's friends & relatives always come by sometime reaching up to 20 ~ 30 guests at a time, no crashes so far

A problem with apartment is there are a lot of routers nearby clogging up the 2.4Ghz band causing interference.

The Asus RT-AC68U is a good choice. If the signal is weak at a particular room, add a powerline extender there.

This is my combo in where i;m staying :

1. Router : Asus - RTAC1200HP

I can get almost full wifi with max speed but for stable , you better get a power line

2. Power line : TP Link -PA8010P-KIT .
