hello folks here.

i'm new and thinking to buy vape devices.

if my budget RM500+-, can anyone suggest a good combination of mod and tank? i'm looking for something easy to use (so no to mech mod). most likely want box mod, but other type also can consider.

i see that IPV4s is quite famous. is it good? also how to identify original vs. clone?

thanks in advance

Try IPV4S and Uwell Crown. There is also Koopor Plus 200W and Smok TFV4 if you wanna go crazy. Make sure you buy good batteries.
*
thanks for the advice..

are these mods are good enough? actually i don't mind to increase budget.. i'm looking for something that i can be satisfied with and can use for long time. because i think no point if i buy a mod and then later want to upgrade. (so i definitely want to avoid beginner devices).. not looking for something expensive just because of the fancy brand (such as Provari), but more towards something with reasonable price but good user review

for beginner i suggest go with small size mod
especially when you on the go
and this vapor device is must have
ipv4 is quite big in my opinion
but it does give you a longer battery time

thanks for the advice boss.

but as i mentioned in my reply above.. any other advice?

mod technologies are moving at a fast pace. currently the most stable mod is the sx mini M class but it should cost u about RM7XX to RM8XX
google to see pic.

DNA200 will be more pricey, but since ure a beginner, i advice u to go for something like D2? u had any vaping experience? just quit smoking or what?
*
wanna quit smoke, thats why

i have little vaping experience.. but i did tried vaping long time ago.. now see so many new mods and tanks, so i'm not sure to go for which one, did online search but doesn't really help..

D2 is what brand?

if can, i want something that will not disappoint me so fast, looking forward to use for at least 6 months or more before maybe upgrade.. so..

IPV D2 quite a small mod and value for money, can satisfy most beginners that just started vaping but not sure what mod to use.
supports temperature control as well. as long as nobody poison u to get another mod for the next 6 months im sure ure satisfied with it.
*
i see, same brand as the IPV4s. so it is smaller than the ipv4s.. in terms of performance, similar?

when u said SX Mini is one of the most stable mod, looking at the price which is more than double than the IPV4s, does it offer something far more better than IPV4s?

Pioneer4you, or P4U for short. Uses Yihi chips which is very top notch in the vape industries. I'm not big on spoonfeeding so excuse me if I don't go too much into details but IPV 3 Li from the same company is also something worth considering too. Along with any Sigelei mods, Evic VTC Mini or the new Reuleaux DNA 200 by Jaybo.
*
thank you for your advice..

i normally don't simply ask for spoon-feeding, i did my search online, but not really helping but rather makes me more confuse, then i think that i need a conversation feedback from this forum

just looking for the basic idea so that i know where to start from.. there is a huge list of mods and tanks out there, i just want to filter down to smaller options

now u said chips.. wow.. now seems like it boils down to the hardware type.. hmm i need to do more reading

I suggest u try visit your local B&M store.. Hve a feel on your palm, take note of the build quality, the button bést tekan ke, ada rattling ke.. Don't buy yet no matter how they racun u haha. Go home and google or ask here for opinions on the mods you have in mind.
But the shop may not carry all brands/models.
*
you know, actually i did went to 2-3 shops... but being a newbie in this, (i think they can sense it) they given offers that makes me confuse, and honestly i'm worried they will seduce me to buy something that i will regret, or maybe not original product at high price

now that i have this few in mind:

IPV4s
IPV D2
Snow Wolf
Sx Mini

I will check them out

Foreground: evic vtc mini with snubnose rda. I carry that around daily with a spare batt and a bottle of juice. Small and very easy to bring.
Background: the much larger and heavier ipv 4s. It stays at home. Heavy and cumbersome!

It's very much a matter of personal preference. I suggest u go to a vape shop and actually hold and play with the models u r considering. See what u feel comfortable with. But whatever u choose, I recommend u select a model that has removable batteries; it'll make life easier for u if u travel by plane. I see form a later post that u intend to quit smoking. Good for u! All the more reason for user-replaceable batts...cos in the initial quitting phase you'll be burning thru batts and snorking juice like a thirsty elephant in the kinabatangan river  biggrin.gif

laugh.gif Nah matey, I said that so I don't have to list down all the specs. You're on your own for that. Recommendation, yeah sure we can give you some hints and pointers at what to look at. Since you're obviously new to vaping I'd say just get a mid range mod and a easy, hassle free setup just to familiarize yourself.

As I said, a IPV 3 Li is already a high performance mod with a mid price range so that'll will last you for a while. Or go small with the D2/Evic VTC mini for easy out and about setup that's super durable but still performs worth the buck spent.

For an atty, just get yourself the standard Subtank Mini. It has a rebuildable base, RBA, that you can learn to build your own coil. Don't fancy the Subtank? Get the Uwell Crown with the RBA base! Word of caution tho, not really suited for beginner since it drains juice faster than you can fill it.

Does size matter?
Budget?
Looks?
China brand ok or not?
Finger prints?
Abit hot when used?
*
thanks guys, all these should be useful.

as for the @mugenz checklists:

Does size matter? not really
Budget? i think i can go up to 800, but i'm a bit particular spender, normally looking for good value for money sweat.gif so i would prefer cheaper price, comparable performance with the expensive one
Looks? ermm.. maybe doesn't matter (they all loos not that attractive anyway)
China brand ok or not? i don't mind, best value for money top priority
Finger prints? what?.. got mode have finger print security like iPhone? shocking.gif
Abit hot when used? i can stand the hot cigarette buds, so why not laugh.gif

Eh, I'd think a IPV 4s, Snow Wolf or any other dual batt mod will do then. Longer lifetime is a huge plus to some people. Me? Eh, size does matter  brows.gif I'm happy with my D2. Still get a good whole day out of it even at high watt plus, the performance has been superb. Can't really complain for the price point.

Make sure to get an external charger and a good genuine battery. DO NOT SKIMP ON THE BATTERIES. and yes, the capslock was necessary.

i see, thanks for the suggestion, its on my list

Size does matter for me. I don't carry pouch, bag or anything. I put my vaporshark rdna40 with subtank. Just nice in the front pocket. My iphone6s wallet keys.
*
i googled vaporshark rdna40, it looks sleek.. it uses 1 battery only? the firing is powerful and instantaneous?

may i ask how much is the price?

1 battery external, dna40 chip (hence max 40 watt)

Disadvantage,
Max 40 watt, limited to single coil builds. Can push 2 coil but vaping at max 40 watt gonna drain battery damn fast.

Overpriced. It's rm680 with vapeshield (a coating protect dmg to the mod)

Good,
Small and good quality built.
Fast charge
Got wireless charger not included
*
oh, when u said overpriced, its been slashed from my list laugh.gif

any comment on Sx mini? overpriced too?

and right you are, Ken! Me too. Although the longer lifetime is very appealing, I don't really like lugging around a brick in my pants. I do have my man purse or Murse™, patent pending, I don't always use it much.
Yes, but the IPV 3Li is newer. See, and that's why we're always confused.  biggrin.gif
*
sweat.gif that is surely confusing

ok.. maybe i have enough feedback for tonight and i'll think about it, thank you guys for your time. i might be coming back with more questions, hopefully not. haha..

cheers and good night

as much as I didn't care for my provari, some keep going back to their provari + kayfun set ups.

not all high brow vape shops are snobby, some would let you try out tanks as well to help you decide.

I guess what I'm saying is that could be a chance that you could be a provari + kayfun person and in retrospect getting those overpriced products could save you jumping over cheaper hype products that keeps on updating itself every other month which would in turn cost more tongue.gif

even though I own a vaporshart rdna40 it definitely gets a thumbs down from me. thing was peeling off and I kept having to sharpie the damn thing every other day before I got sleeves to cover its ugly :c

had the yihi m class, but it always looked odd to me, performance wise it served me well. right up to the point I sold it off
*
i see..

so now, what is your main mod+tanks set up? that u think really worth the prices
