You don't really have to spend money. It just speeds up the process. Only thing that you have no choice but to pay for is Carnage. There are some players who spend alot on this game, and others that don't. Both can still get to 'end-game' content, just the paying players get there faster. That's one thing good about this game.

If there's any advice I can give, is that:
1. Focus first on no more than 3 characters to get to level 60. Level their gears and ISO-8 (a good start is gear level 10, and at least 3 star ISO-8s). I suggest choosing some of the better, farmable characters (from story and special missions) for that (there are guides around that list the good ones).
2. Use these characters and try to complete the entire story mission campaign. Aim for 3 stars on each level. When you're stuck on one, farm the mission below it for exp and level up. Try the next mission again. Rinse and repeat until you've completed all story missions with 3 stars each.
3. By the time you've done number 2, your 3 characters should be level 60 already. At this point you should be able to auto play almost any story/special mission to farm other characters. This part will be a long, constant process, unless you choose to spend money. If you're pressed for time and have enough clear tickets, you can use them to instantly clear a story mission for a character's biometrics (though this doesn't give you any exp).

It's a long haul game, but you don't have to play a few hours a day. I suggest logging in everyday and aim to complete all the daily trophy achievements. If you can afford to do more than that (i.e. all Villain Siege stages, Alliance Battle, Co-op, Battleworld), even better. Doing that will help you upgrade your existing characters in every way. After that, it gets easier. You'll eventually get there la.

Depends on which character you plan to use it on.
Best used on a character that's useful and hard to get (and preferably at 5 stars). Also, these don't work on A-Force, Carnage or Body Odour characters.
The characters that are worth using this on are Hulkbuster, Silk and Loki. Silk is the hardest to get of the three, followed by Loki.

Uniform -
Depends on which character's uniform you want to get (and preferably for a character that's 6 stars).
Some characters aren't very useful, and some uniforms are crap (i.e. Bad bonuses + little to no change in skill animations).
If you have tons of crystals to spare, really like a particular character and its uniform looks, then you can spend away while it's on sale.

Nice! I got that too as a participation reward. I might make it mythical.

Not really. You can use the free daily bio selectors on him. But if you really want him, go for it.

This is what I'd suggest using the tokens for though:
(If you can't finish all 6 event quests daily) - 5* rank up ticket, spare tokens for the card chest (or Moon Knight if you're keen)
(If you can finish all 6 event quests daily) - 6* rank up ticket, spare tokens for card chest x 2

No need to be a whale... just pray to RNGesus everyday. And yeah it is possible to spend money on this game to the point it becomes more expensive than dvd/steam games, but there are updates every month, and you can play it whenever and wherever.

- Kingpin (without uniform): Alliance Battle combat days
- Kingpin (with uniform): Alliance Battle blast days
- Giantman: World Boss (for Team Pym), Battleworld
- Loki (without uniform): Everything except Alliance Battle female days
- Loki (with uniform): Everything

Other strong characters and what they're good at -
- Silk: Everything
- Hulkbuster: Everything
- Carnage: Everything
- Sister Grimm: Everything
- Elsa Bloodstone (with uniform): Everything except Alliance Battle
- Spider-Man (only with Civil War uniform): Everything except Alliance Battle, and used for Team Carnage bonus in World Boss. Super strong at Tier 2.


- Ant-Man
- Wasp
- Rocket Raccoon (for Alliance Battle if you don't have Deathlok, Kingpin and Sister Grimm)
- Groot (as a healer for Alliance Battle)
- Star-Lord (for his leadership to buff Sister Grimm/Wasp in World Boss) annnd he's just fun to play.

Yeah but you can also get him from the Chaos Token store, or use bio selectors on him.
It'll take too long if you depend on getting him through ally shifting in special missions.

That's not a waste of time... Sister Grimm and Silk are good investments.
But who the hell is meant to be Sailormoon?

You can also find good use in strikers like Punisher and War Machine. Both add 10% damage increase to super villains.

Are you using Loki against him?
Cos there's an 'unintended bug' (Netmarble's own words) that occurred in the latest patch, which has something to do with Loki against Corvus.
I noticed that even when using Loki's normal spells (no clones), he seems to do less damage to Corvus.

I dunno about Netmarble's plans to make Loki's clones have HP... they also didn't specify what the bug is with Loki vs Corvus, so I'm just guessing that it's to do with Loki's damage against him (since clones never benefit from dodge ignore).

As for using other characters, it'll be easier if all the characters you use have level 17+ gears. But more importantly, all cards at least legendary. But yeah, I too find Corvus to be the hardest World Boss (not even bothered to count in Thanos infinity version).

Looks like update 2.2.0 will make a little change in Obelisks... the first stat will stay the same when upgrading
It still doesn't improve things much... all they need to do is keep the Obelisk system, but bring back all those old gears (dodge 35% etc)... I still prefer to use those old gears, unless (very rarely) I get a good Obelisk.

The sneak peek for 2.2.0 also mentioned this:

- Based on materials you have in your inventory, you will be able to upgrade your gear to the maximum level possible.
I hope this means they're removing the RNG experience bar thing when upgrading gears past level 15
