maybe you can look for mikrotik router, have been used for few years no problem and vy stable. no reboot require/slow/hang.

guys ... seems like the RT-AC68U or any AC range routers is the recommended item here ... but does our device support that range already??
i.e 2 year old laptop, 3 year old smartphone, and another question, RT-AC68U is a modem also ?? can key in unifi username and pw? |

It's not a modem. It's a wireless router that needs gateway aka modem to function. You need to input your unifi username and password to get connected.
