QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 01:06 PM) EPS is 0.59 sen based on diluted shares. your 0.59c is 1Q only, if consider forward next 3Q all same performance then EPS=4*0.59c=2.36c, hence PE=28 at current price 66.5cSo at current price you are looking at PE 27X, PBV 4.71, even if they pay 40% dividend the expected DY will be 1.43% only |

QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 01:26 PM) Yes exactly..I already based on 4Q forward, PE 27x-28x.. you still consider as fundi counter? 20-30 PE quite common in trading/technology sector in ace market. For goreng no comment la.. if goreng can up to PE 200x can consider normal.. let's say given same Technology Ace Market, Krono PE 13, would you deem it better? |

QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 02:01 PM) You can never see the PE only.. have to consider other things. Basically the profit growth ... ok should compare in Trad/Serv sector, Ace Market say Texcycl 0089 PE 12 only, would you reckon it's better choice than GFM? (much better profit growth)Krono i see the profit is too lumpy..need more convincing Basically still not my cup of tea.. Also GFM is not a tech company.. it is a facilities management company.. a service company. Pretty low tech according to their service description. But can get consistent income lar... growth will depend if they can get more buildings to manage. This post has been edited by lowya: Apr 12 2017, 02:18 PM |

QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 02:18 PM) Bah.. you just naming counters randomly kah? definitely not random bro, i screen carefully before asking. One look already can see the PE is inflated... on 4QR, got extra income of 6.2 million on 'fair value increase' on investment property... ie. artifical profit. After minus that out actual profit is only ~2.4 mil.. flattish profit less growth and the PE will be 23x.. Again not my cup of tea.. On Texcycl's 6.2m 'fair value increase', don't mind point me the the right source? can't seem to find it. if a company engage in some sort of sideline investment, wouldn't that be considered part of their 'real profit'? |

QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 02:33 PM) Real profit will come from cold hard cash your customers pay you after you pay your supplier, staff, upkeep and maintenance. wahh.. your 'one look' is awesome, can scan all the way so fast. All 'fair value increase' in investment property do is increase your NTA, it does not pay you any cash, unless of course unless you sell it. But if you sell it, you get less income since it is an investment property. You are obviously just skimming the QR report, read more indepth la.. 4Q report - Page 1 under other income, 4Q report - Notes, under B1 : Review of performance, last sentence. |

QUOTE(gark @ Apr 12 2017, 02:37 PM) One thing to warn all investors.. do u mean the perpetual bond issued by the company or one that the company subscribe to?The biggest bomb to look out for in financial statements is perpetual bonds/debt... in which do no which accounting body deem it to be 'reasonable' to include that as an 'asset/equity' for NTA calculation. In which right mind a debt can be considered an asset.. Pui... Accountant come mai explain.. from google: QUOTE Perpetual bond, which is also known as a perpetual or just a perp, is a bond with no maturity date. Therefore, it may be treated as equity, not as debt. Issuers pay coupons on perpetual bonds forever, and they do not have to redeem the principal. Perpetual bond cash flows are, therefore, those of a perpetuity. QUOTE What is a 'Perpetual Bond' A perpetual bond is a fixed income security with no maturity date. One major drawback to these types of bonds is that they are not redeemable. Given this drawback, the major benefit of them is that they pay a steady stream of interest payments forever. A perpetual bond is also known as a "consol" or a "perp". This post has been edited by lowya: Apr 12 2017, 02:58 PM |

PE ratio is a little bit like RSI or warrant premium, where you can interpreted it both way by different groups.
1. Stocks with low PE: value investor buys. But traders says market lack momentum or unwilling to pay for the premium. 2. RSI: some swear to buy low, others like to buy high and sell higher. 3. Warrant premium: too low no one want, high premium trader says got momentum. These 2 groups always don't agree with each other, therefore giving you plenty of transactions daily. Agree? If you agree, then it's almost impossible to be trader and investor at the same time. This post has been edited by lowya: Apr 12 2017, 03:30 PM |
