Omg, you have two? x;! I still wonder how am I going to keep one as pet if I'm afraid of it. But it looks fun. My parents only allow me to have either a cat (-__-) or hamsters (bad memory, ;_;) or iguana o:

But I want either a doggie or a snake. xD

HAhaha... mine worst, my parents dunno I got snakes loh.... heheheh....

A snake is more like a display pet, well, you can look at how beautiful they are, handle them, feeding them is like once a week only.... they are rarely dirty.

Dogs are cuddly cuddly pets that have loads of personality, of course taking care of a dog is like taking care of a kid lah.

Holy fish! Seriously? Lol! Wow, I'd be dead if caught having a snake in my room without telling them. XD You're lucky they don't really enter your
room.

Btw. Are your snakes free to roam wherever they want in your room? ;x

yesh, crazymouse! you just gave me a glimmer of hope to own another snake.. notworthy.gif

angelgurl_nee, those beginner snakes rarely bite, but if they do, they just snap at you, not dangerous one... but you have to go slow with snakes la, u dont want sudden movement to frighten them.. and best of all, they do not smell rolleyes.gif

myra, go for snake lah! Lol.. you'll have to do alot of persuasion to make your parents let you have them.. if they're understanding enough, they may let you have one.. but the bad thing of telling your parent is, you will only be allowed 1 snake xD .. unlike crazymouse

lol.. lessly is rite also.. u have to check out the snake yourself before getting them. Ball pythons are shy shy.. they always hide their head, and they hardly move most of the time.. always stay still.. but then again, depends on the snake's characteristics.. but of course they'll recognise their owner and learn to get comfortable when you handle them..

whereas, corn snakes... hmm.gif i assume they're not so shy.. always see them moving around in their tank..

My parents do not like reptiles and other exotics... so to keep them, they have to be secrets loh hahahah.... all my exotics are hidden from sight, and I keep them clean so there rarely is a smell but sometimes the geckos poop alot, giving a slight stink sometimes lah.

Corn snakes are really active, but they can be still at some moments. I like them coz they are just so much easier to care and less troublesome to feed.

captive breed snakes are tame most of the time...eventually it depend also to which kind of snake u plan to keep...

there are few reason why snake bite (owner's fault)

-u did not prepare a feeding box for it ...so eventually...anything tht comes down to the enclosure...tht means food for him...including your hand.
-U did not wash your hand after handling mice/rat or feeder....tht the snake mistook it as his dinner...your hand...
-U should not play or mess around with his tail....as it's the most venurable part of the snake
-U bought a wild caught specimen....hau bo bak chap ~! cry no tears come out ~!

Cornsnake is a fast snake and therefore higher metabolism rate. Will digest their food in just 2 to 3 days. Pooh much often when compared to ball python. Both are very good beginner's snakes. I like cornsnakes more because of 2 main reasons. 1) much better feeder than ball python. 2) no need licence to keep one.

Uhm. But to ... er. How do we get their food? Don't tell me we have to buy (dead?) mice/rat for it and keep them stored somewhere? O__O;;

haha.. you could get live/dead ones to feed em.. like uncle alan sometimes have excess mice, then he will sell them.. or else you could buy the mice from petstore.. you should be able to find those priced around Rm3-5 and you only need to feed them once in 5-7 days.. not sure how much corns eat...
