Wa... thx for ur reply! Where n how much u replace the fead belt tensioner? But my case,if straight n flat road, there is ZERO "tikus" sound. Only when pass by lubang or double line or press brake too hard, the tikus sound only can be heard..

Should i go n change the fead belt tensioner? 😅

Sorry, Can't give any advise. Just share with you base on my own experience. whistling.gif
Last time a foreman told me it was sound from alternator pulley one way bearing , luckily I'm not change the pulley last time. If not, RM480(price including labor cost at 3rd party workshop) fly away. rclxub.gif

FYI, Proton will charge you around RM30X just for the material cost itself.

If you buy from other source may cheaper

I think your case still better than mine, my "tikus" make noise any time it like for 2 months plus, it shock the ppl around when at traffic jam..... quite loud too. So I decided to change it at that moment during replace timing belt.

My gear knob encounter like yours before.
The spring in gear shifter was too strong , gear knob has to gentle release ,otherwise....... cry.gif
First time 1 clip broken, install back to it housing.
2nd time both clip broken too, temporary use cellophane tape.
Lastly Macgyver using stainless steel pin to hold it. Got take picture last time, but due to accidentally format wrong hard disc previously, all data gone.

Anybody has use tyre 185/65 R14 before on Saga?

I plan to go for tyre size above from existing 185/60 R14 (3 year 2 month with a lot of crack on tire tread)for my Saga FL .

Purpose of change are due to
1. thicker side wall provide more cushion effect
2. since replace final drive gear with lower gear ratio is quite costly and may problematic, bigger OD tire is my another option to increase a little bit(3.2%) in term of km/h vs RPM.

Expected on cons side and ready to adapt it
-more body roll
-acceleration and braking affected
-more floating on highway
-corner handling

Current car suspension setup
- FL front coil spring & FLX front absorber
- FLX rear coil spring & Sapura standard rear absorber.

Should I try
2 piece of 2nd hand 185/65R14 on front wheel
or 4 piece of 2nd hand 185/65R14
or direct change 4 piece new 185/65R14 tires.

Since this size of tire is rare in Malaysia, once puncture till irreparable, is not easy to get ex-stock tire for replacement. Also afraid I'll regret after change it. cry.gif

Next time when purchase new tire available brand may limited at tire shop and also on the 'freshness' of tire. sweat.gif

175/65R 14 is out of my list.

Appreciate sifu share their experience who use 185/65R14 before.

I've been tempted by the idea too despite it not being allowed here, the raise in gearing along with ride height plus the possibility of some added comfort make it thoughtworthy.
I'd start at just the front to check if the gearing is tolerable, then add the rear if things go OK.
Most tyre sizes are rare and thus expensive in Australia but 185/65-14 is common enough, I even have a couple of old ones under the house that I changed from my old car, If I had a spare couple of wheels I'd experiment myself.

iinm, 60 profiles tyre = 60% x 185mm = 111mm . 65 profiles tyre = 65% x 185mm = 120.25mm. just 120mm-111mm= 9mm difference.

if wanna change to 185/65r14, should change all 4 of them.

courtesy of @nestum tyre thread, yokohama cd drive 2 got size for 185/65r14 and 185/60r14. for yokohama blueearth, got 185/65/14 and 165/55r14.

i check dunlop website, for dunlop sp sport j5 got size for 185/65r14 and 185/60r14. for other brand/product, you have to check yourself.

seems like 185/65r14 and 185/60r14 is normal size, but since it's 14" tyre, not very much choice of tyres, unless straight change to 15" rim/tyres.

ayam blessed using 175/70r13 cause to me that size is common.

Thanks for your info.
A number of brand shown this size tire are available on their website.
Previously I went to few tire shop in Penang island, some said this size need to order some shop has ex-stock but it was old stock.

As my understanding not much car in Malaysia OEM come with this size, thats why I'm afraid it is not common size.
1. Old Nissan Sentra
2. Hyundai Getz
3. Old Hyundai Accent

Anyway, I'll go to more tire shop ask for it.

Yep.
For the time being you could drill a hole at the bottom of the headlight.

This method works well on my another car(rear lamp). Just drill a hole diameter 1.0mm drill at the lowest portion of lamp housing will do. Tiny hole not so obvious, so won't have ugly issue .
When sunlight heat up the lamp housing during hot day, air inside will expand and push to drain the water.
