Whoa... wait a minute. Why we talk about players leaving? Come on, be positive. Talk about new signing in January.
Chelsea, Willian 'open talks' over improved contract — reportBy Fellipe Miranda @Brazfoot on Nov 23, 2015, 5:03p
Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian has been the unlikely hero and top goalscorer of a most strange Chelsea season so far. Due to his consistent and good performances despite the team's bad form, negotiations have started over an improved contract, as reported by Simon Johnson from the Evening Standard. This is now the second time we're hearing of an improved Willian contract, coming two weeks after the Mirror reported something similar. As mentioned then, the Mirror tend to be early rather than wrong with these sorts of things. Smoke, fire, sign on the dotted line.
At the moment, Willian, 27, is on an £85,000 per week contract that runs out in 2018. According to the report, Chelsea want to extend that for another two years, which would see Willian tied to the club until 2020. Only Eden Hazard, Kenedy, and Baba Rahman are tied down for that long.
In one of his interviews last week, Chelsea football director Michael Emenalo mentioned how another recent contract extension, Ramires's until 2019, was part of the club's plan of keeping our talented players together, and this season, Willian has certainly proven his worth to the team. Like Ramires, Willian would be 32 at the end of this new contract.
A much deserved reward.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/201...ct-renew-reportChelsea's Jeremie Boga ultimatum to Ligue 1 side RennesBy David Pasztor @D_Peezy on Dec 2, 2015, 5:58a
Jeremie Boga will not be turning 19 until the first week of January, but he's already one of the most prized prospects in the Chelsea youth system. Unfortunately, he's at the point in his career where Chelsea, as a club, don't seem to have the most solid plan for development. Having outgrown what the English youth leagues can offer, some kids get loaned out, some stay. Some do well on their loans, and a couple have even returned over the years to play a part (Ryan Bertrand and, especially, Thibaut Courtois). Others do not, and they flounder for years and years (see: Nathaniel Chalobah, Josh McEachran, etc.). It's a bit of a mess, even if the people in charge, Emenalo, Mourinho & Co, claim there is some overarching vision in there somewhere.
If rumors are to be believed, Boga had several suitors this summer. Mid-table Ligue 1 side Rennes won out. It was going to be a challenge, to be sure, for Boga to make the step up from U21 Premier League to Ligue 1 level, but so far, he's amassed less than 300 minutes. While that's a good 90 minutes more than what Ruben Loftus-Cheek has gotten, the point of the loan is to get the player regular playing time. He could just as easily sit on the bench at Chelsea.
With that in mind, according to L'Equipe (via talkSport), Chelsea have basically posed an ultimatum to Rennes: play him or we'll be recalling him in January. Whether L'Equipe are making an educated guess here or basing it on actual sources, it doesn't really matter. The point is that Boga needs minutes — that's the path that's been chosen for him — and he's not really getting them at Rennes. Granted, an ultimatum over a player they're not using is not very effective, but at least we're flexing.
Boga did start over the weekend for the first time in the league (he had another start in the cup) and rewarded manager Philippe Montanier's decision with the opening goal. Hopefully that's a harbinger of things to come, rather than a high note to end his time there.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/201...ltimatum-rennesThree Chelsea youngsters looking to end loan spells early -- reportsBy Fellipe Miranda and David Pasztor on Dec 2, 2015, 7:26p
One of the major themes of Chelsea's current season, not only among us fans but also on the media, has been our ever-growing loan army, now counting 33 members, spread out all across Europe. But with so many youngsters - and a few not so young players - trying to win first-team minutes in different sorts of clubs and environments, some are bound to fail.
First, the Daily Mail reports that formerly quite promising young striker Islam Feruz is looking to cut short his loan spell at Hibernian. At the Scottish second division club, Feruz, after a few injury issues early, has only managed a total of 56 minutes and according to the Mail, he's keen to activate an early release clause to move back to Chelsea in January; and be loaned to another club until the end of the season, with some Championship clubs already lining up as his possible next destination.
Meanwhile in Italy, Brazilian right-back/right winger Wallace is also struggling to get minutes, having played 6 matches in 3 months and accumulating only 157 minutes of playing time at his current Serie A club Carpi. Along with Feruz, he's also looking to get back to Chelsea and then set up another loan to continue his development as reported by Tutto Mercato Web.
Lastly, in Portugal, the mythical being known as Ulises Davila might be looking to be released from his Chelsea and his loan contracts to move back to Mexico with Santos Laguna. Davila had spoken previous of trying to make it on the Iberian Peninsula somehow - so it's unsurprising that "sources close to the player" have denied those transfer rumors.
It's not the first time we've heard reports of loanees frustated over their current spells, with Chelsea themselves getting into the mix on the wrong end with Falcao, while also reportedly pressing clubs to play more of their loaned players elsewhere. These are the risks inherent in the loan system however.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/201...ut-short-reportChelsea, Milan to battle it out over Zlatan Ibrahimovic - reportBy Fellipe Miranda @Brazfoot on Dec 2, 2015, 4:18p
Ibrahimovic and Mourinho only worked together for a year at Inter Milan, but that was enough to make Zlatan a huge fan for life of the manager. And now they might get a reunion at Stamford Bridge, as ESPN Deportes reports Chelsea want to sign the ten-times Sweden's Football Player of the Year on a free transfer by the end of his contract. In the chase are also his former club AC Milan.
According to the report, Zlatan and his agent Mino Raiola travelled to Qatar earlier this year to meet PSG's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and solve the player's contractual situation. Raiola and Zlatan were seeking either a two-year extension on his current deal, which will end in 2016, or an early break of the contract so he could move to Milan. They left the meeting with only a wage adjustment to account for France's changes in their tax code, which also diminished Zlatan's purchasing power.
Milan's current manager Sinisa Mihajlovic and vice-president Adriano Galliani are two of his biggest backers for a return to San Siro but they know they won't be able to meet Chelsea's terms to Ibrahimovic. Either way, Chelsea or Milan would be his last step towards his retirement or a move to MLS. He had claimed in the past his interest in ending his career in the United States.
Securing Zlatan on a Bosman transfer isn't a bad idea but it means he wouldn't be set to arrive in the current season - unless Chelsea reaches an agreement with PSG over a reasonable transfer fee for a player with six months left on his contact, which is unlikely. Another issue would be how much of a pay-cut he would be willing to take to move to Chelsea, since he's earning €14 million in net wages per year at PSG.
But even though he's already 34, he's shown at Ligue 1 that he still has some goals and tricks left on his tank. Let's hope he can save some of them for the Premier League next season.

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/201...r-rumour-reportEmmanuel Adebayor set for Premier League returnBy David Pasztor @D_Peezy on Dec 2, 2015, 12:58a
In case you haven't had your fill of veteran strikers coming to Chelsea for one last hurrah, a policy under Mourinho Mk.II that has yielded mixed results with the likes of Samuel Eto'o, Didier Drogba, and Radamel Falcao, we might be looking at yet another one in Emmanuel Adebayor.
This report is from the Daily Mail, so take it for whatever you think that's worth, but it's a story that's been whispered about in dark circles before the Mail brought it to tabloidian light.
Emmanuel Adebayor is set to return to England with a view to sorting out his future. The Togo striker has spent an extended period in Africa following his exit from Tottenham in September. But the proven Premier League marksman is due back in London this week as he bids to find a new club.
-source: Mail
Adebayor and his 96 career goals in the Premier League left Spurs by mutual consent in September, following a season filled with plenty of drama away from the limited amount of football he did play. Because he did not terminate his contract with Spurs before the transfer deadline, he is not eligible to join another club until January. Supposedly he's been training hard to keep in shape. Watford and Chelsea are the two clubs supposedly looking at him, with the Blues no doubt thrown in there purely out of Mourinho's prior relationship at Real Madrid with the now 31-year-old striker.
I'd like to safely dismiss this rumor as absolute nonsense, but we did offer an olive branch to Falcao -- which worked out exactly as expected -- so I don't even know anymore.
