Guess I am one of those 'scammed' by TM when they offered to upgrade my VIP 10 to 30. Was paying the same amount so I agreed. Found out that I could get Unifi 50 at the same price so I came here to ask if it is possible.

Edit: I found out that I was subscribed to the HyppTV Megapack which cost me RM50.  sweat.gif

I also upgraded to 30Mbps from VIP10 in July last year. I was paying RM 199 with Aneka package and managed to complain after they officially launched this package in October with only RM 179. I have then started paying RM 179.

suddenly youtube & fb video are okay back..does TM have routing issue?
*
Yes, I believe only on UniFi. When I was on year end holidays at my sister's house which is using Streamyx 4Mbps, I had no issue streaming 1080p YouTube videos at all. Those videos I had issue playing with UniFi.
Came back from holiday and I thought it was OK already as they seemed to play instantly, last two days problem started again. sleep.gif
Now whenever I face with this problem I just turn on this VPN and connect to SG server, solves my problem.

That's rather odd. Would you happen to know any other solution since it's obviously something wrong on my end.
*
Er, restart router and get other IP address? sweat.gif
Other devices also cannot access this site?

Even restarting router doesn't help? Probably location dependant...

Restarted twice with no success. I thought it's just my desktop PC, checked 2 of my phone and iPad, all showing the same symptom.

TM and their never ending upgrading and maintenance. I can see your IP starts with 175, try other range? Mine is 124.

Thanks sis, I think the only thing I could do is just keep restarting till I get 124
*
Not necessarily 124, you can try other ranges as well. laugh.gif
Good luck or just have to wait till it is OK in your area. sweat.gif

I saw all of your DL speeds were slightly above 30mbps. My DL speed is around 28mbps. Why mine can't reach 30mbps? Is it area problem? I'm from Kuching.

Using LAN? Maybe you can try with LAN if it still slow, then can decide to change to a better router or just change channel first if you are using WiFi.

Mine:

To others who think the stock router sucks, I went to my friend's house over the weekend and she is just using the stock router and guess what her download speed was faster than mine, consistently 35Mbps on my phone.

Well and well, so it is not bad at all. laugh.gif

Ya. I don't think is my router problem. The router I'm using is RG4332.
*
That's stock router isn't it?
Typically, the stock router really sucks at times. laugh.gif
Anyway I don't have issue with my router as well which is same as yours but I add Xiaomi router as access point for better signal and more stability. flex.gif

What stock router falls short is signal. If your device is far from the router, then your device's network speed may degrade a lot. Since you're using Xiaomi mini router as your AP then that is not an issue.

For the 35mbps part, I guess your friend's area isn't that congested yet
*
Mine is very close to my router but it is not great once I go to kitchen or bathroom. laugh.gif So, I just added another AP. tongue.gif
Probably for my case, she is at level 19 but her speed is greater than mine. Mine highest download is around 33Mbps with 11Mbps upload whereas hers is 35Mbps but only 5Mbps upload. laugh.gif tongue.gif

bathroom = door, kitchen = a lot of interference(microwave etc etc). If you don't game or perform a lot of video upload, having 5mbps is okay though  laugh.gif

Needto restart modem/router or not to get that 10Mbps download?
*
Well, you can restart your router to see if you have it or not.
If after you restart, you have it then you have it, if not, then wait for next time. biggrin.gif

I supposed 10Mbps will soon be a standard for 30Mbps package's upload speed. biggrin.gif
