Local speedtest servers can't seem to hit 10mbps upload for me. Tried Singapore server and it is near 10mbps.

Mine back to 5mbps upload again, perhaps last night was just a sudden burst of speed. Patience...

I opened a service ticket via OCC trying my luck saying my neighbor has 10mbps and all, they replied saying they can't do anything as ADV30 plan is 30/5 speed.

QUOTE(megahertz @ Jan 13 2016, 02:19 PM) thats wat i thought too. since its already stated 30/5 is the official speed. if less speed, we can complaint, but if ask them to increase the speed, we dont hv right to do it. So just wait for it, they might be increasing it in stages and monitoring it at the same time whether their network can still handle it.those 30/10 should be lucky |

QUOTE(Xefron @ Jan 14 2016, 08:31 AM) Any idea which model? Technically speaking the specs on paper for the D-Link router is enough to support even 30mbps but many users just can't get it on theirs. Hopefully TM checks and test their equipments to ensure it fully supports what they are going to offer first. |

QUOTE(kaizer_x @ Jan 14 2016, 06:59 PM) Envy you.. QUOTE(megahertz @ Jan 14 2016, 07:23 PM) i still didnt get it yet. but today i saw TM contractor doing something withthe cable in the man hole on the road. could be they upgrade the cable before upgrade my upload speed for my area? mine is kota kemuning btw. Don't think so, the cables should support this kind of speeds without issues unless faulty. |

QUOTE(alucard1983 @ Jan 14 2016, 07:54 PM) hi guys, It's not throttling you only but during peak hours, it's a pretty standard procedure for most ISP to enforce QoS on certain application/site/port etc. Why torrent is not affected is most likely there were local seeders seeding it to you.i am using the 30mbps unifi advance package. lately I am experiencing this issue of slow downloading (less than 50kbps) on several direct download sites which before this (before late december/early jan 2016) I get consistent download speeds of bout 2mbps . The download speed returns to normal early in the morning till evening then it slows again from roughly 6pm - 4am or so. The unusual thing is , this does not affect torrents. I get my normal torrent download speed of 1-2mbps consistently. any way to check if Unifi throttled my direct download speed? or better still, if anyone has the same issue and has found a solution, kindly share. Thanks |

Finally my ADV30 plan has 10mbps upload as well. Did not need to restart BTU/router, just suddenly noticed the increased in speed.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 15 2016, 07:02 PM) With 100mbps, they have no choice but to give better equipments. Routers with Gigabit LAN and hopefully with Wireless AC.QUOTE(calvinlaw510 @ Jan 15 2016, 07:03 PM) Lowest probably RM299? However I think it will definitely be above RM300, probably around the RM329-RM349 range.QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 15 2016, 07:06 PM) Just imagine how fast you are able to get contents downloaded, tempting? |
